Woof ran a hand through his hair as he sat on the train couch. Nash and Cecelia hadn't walked in yet so it was just the two Dreesens, "Why the hell did you do that?" Bex asked quietly, she knew his name was on the card anyway but he didn't even wait to hear the name
"I knew what being in there would do to you. I wasn't about to let you do it alone. Wherever we walk, we walk together."
The pair looked up when Cecelia and Nash walked in. They were now mentoring their own mentors. Fate had a twisted sense of humour.
None of them said anything for a few minutes until Woof did, "I've seen death before...we all have. And we know it's ugly as shit. But we've done it before. We can do it again."
Colt walked into the cart, sitting down at the table, "Nothing to say about this?" Nash asked
Colt shook his head, "Nothing good to say." Bex had always seen Colt as hope, whenever things had gone wrong he was there to cheer her up. He was more than an escort. But seeing him like that was hard. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry to all of you. None of you deserve this shit."
"Amen to that." Woof hummed
"What could we do." Nash said as he sat on the couch beside Woof.
Cecelia leaned down and turned the TV on the recaps were definitely going to be on and they wanted to see who would be reaped alongside them.
Bex sat on the ground. Colt had offered her a chair but Bex just shook her head. Woof just leaned forwards and kept his hand on her shoulder as the reaping's started to be replayed.
If there was any doubt that the reapings were rigged, District 1's reaping removed any of the doubt.

District One had nineteen living Victors, the siblings being reaped together. It had to have been rigged.
It was like Snow was already picking off her people.
But if that was what he was doing then she knew few other Victors who would be undoubtedly reaped.
From District Two came Enobaria and Brutus. Brutus upped the difficulty but Bex didn't care that they were back in the arena. She'd be happy to take them out.
