Bex lost all concept of time as she was sitting on the floor her hand laced in Finnick's, as was leaning down his chin on her shoulder. "You are Bex Dreesen, from District Eight, a great sewer, friend, girlfriend." Bex smiled as she looked up at him, "And you are right here with me."
Before Finnick could continue loud rumbling came from above as the walls started to shake, "Mortal shells." Gale said, "They're not ours. Peacekeepers must be shellin' the rebels outside the city."
Cressida shook her head, "That's not outside the city."
"We need to do something." Bex said as she stood up
Finnick stood up with her, his hand on her back as he leaned down in her ear, "Should you be fighting?"
"I have to." Bex argued back, "The one thing I am good at is fighting. I'm not staying back when my people are fighting. I'm better with you, and if I don't know what's happening to you then I will lose myself, and not even you could pull me back."
Finnick didn't like that idea, "I don't want you hurt. Gloss's legs all fucked up."
"We've all been hurt, Finn. But together or not at all, like it has always been. And if we lose we'll do that together too."
Gloss nodded, "A fucked leg isn't going to stop me."
Blight groaned as he stood up from his seat, "We've come this far together and I know that you." He looked over to Gale, Katniss, Peeta, Cressida and Pollux, "Don't necessarily understand that. But us si...five. We started this together in the little Golden Alliance, and we'll end it together as well."
Cressida nodded, "Alright then, this is it."
Just then an alarm went off and a television screen appeared, everyone tensed when Snow appeared on the screen.
"To all Capitol Citizens more than half a mile outside the City Circle, I am announcing a mandatory evacuation. Come to the mansion, I am promising you shelter and sanctuary. All refugees, come to my home. There you will be provided with food, medicine, safety for your children, and you will have my solemn oath to protect you until my dying breath."
