One cold shower and a promise to not watch the Games in the Mentor Lounge anymore, Haymitch was pouring Bex a drink as she was sitting on the couch of the District Four apartment waiting for Finnick and Johanna.

Finnick walked in first, "Johanna's catching up with Blight for a few minutes she'll be up soon. So will Mags."

Haymitch nodded as he handed Bex a drink, "I need to go do the same with Effie. You be okay?" Bex nodded, "Alright. I'll be back."

When Haymitch left the apartment Finnick sat down and tapped his lap, Bex knew what that meant as she laid down, leaning her head on his lap, "I don't know what's gone on with you. But you can talk to me you know?"

Bex nodded, "I know. And I will. Just not right now."

Neither of them flinched when the door opened, and the old lady walked in. She didn't tend to watch the games. She just went to bed and let Finnick fill her in and wake her up if anything important was happening, "I would kill her though, happily." Bex said, Enobaria knew right where to annoy her, what to say and what to do to get under her skin she had always been good at that.

Mags shot her a look as she crouched down to Bex's level. The woman hadn't been as talkative since her stroke, but she never needed words to say what she wanted to get across and still be as impressive as she always was.

"I know" she told the older mentor "I snapped. Sometimes that happens and I can't stop, it's just that when she talked about my family like that-"

Mags leaned in and reaches out, putting her hand on Bex's cheek. Somehow, that made more of a statement than anything Haymitch had told her.

A flood of emotion that she carefully hid under a blanket of anger surged through her all of a sudden, Haymitch had rebuilt her walls and there Mags was pulling them straight back down, "I loose my shit with Enobaria. They're gone and I'm not it doesn't-"

Mags interrupted her, "You're allowed to be alive, Bex" Mags tells her, her voice steady even after not having used it in quite some time.

"Am I? Should I? Gods know Snow's tried to stop me."
