It was comical that they thought that they could keep the Tributes on their own floors. Bex tried to leave the second they got to the apartments but apparently, there was a policy on it.
There was nothing to lose so Bex didn't listen. They all knew she needed to get down there. Johanna, Mags and Finnick were already bound to be down there.
The second she arrived she found Mags and Finnick in the living room with their mentors, "You're not supposed to be here." Bex hadn't bothered to learn his name, Mags and Finnick were often the Mentors
Both Finnick and Mags ignored the guy and pulled Bex into a hug. Mags was the first to hug her, stroking her hair in the same way she'd do when she'd find Bex upset.
Finnick took over from her and pulled her into a tight embrace that she didn't get out of any time soon.
"How did we get here, hm?" Bex mumbled against his chest
"I'm so sorry button" he sighed into her hair, "Why the hell did you Volunteer."
Bex let out a bitter laugh, "It was me anyway."
She pulled away slightly and looks at Mags "Mags, I-"
Before she could finish her sentence, Mags reached out and touched her cheek, "I've lived a full life with happy memories" Mags told her "Adopted some wonderful children along the way...if my time to go comes by saving the life of one of those children, then I'll gladly do it"
"As long as you know that we'll do anything to protect you in that arena" she told Mags as Finnick lets go of her and he nodded.
"Of course we will"
Mags didn't say anything, but something in her eyes told Bex that she had already accepted that she was not coming out of the arena alive.
Finnick sighed as he hugged Bex again, "Tower, 3 am.", she was about to say something before she saw the way he was looking at her.
