In which a Victor from District 8 isn't supposed to have relationships but grows closer to a Victor from District 4.

"You know it's a wonder to me how the fuck I'm still alive," Woof told Bex as the two Dreesens were walking along the beach, everyone needed to rest and make a new plan so that was what they were doing.
Peeta and Beetee were sitting on the sand whilst Cashmere, Blight and Johanna were sitting together as well. Finnick, Katniss and Gloss had gone to get some water from the trees using the Spile that Katniss had gotten.
Bex just gave him a look, "Because you're a Dreesen. We're Victors. It's that simple. Me, you, Nana, Delila."
Bex was still worried about what was going on in Eight. But she knew that whatever it was Isla could handle it. They all could.
She was worrying about a good number of things. What Katniss was going to do, as previous Victors surrounded her. One of which killed her ally.
"I have something for you. We haven't had a lot of time lately but..." Bex leaned down, unclipped the anklet from her ankle and gave it to Woof, "Figured you should have this more than me."
He just smiled when he saw it, he knew what it was.
"Thank you...I'm gonna go check on Blight," Woof said as he kissed Bex on the cheek before walking towards the other Victor.
Bex decided she was going to go and talk to Peeta, if it came down to it, she figured that she would need him on her side in case Katniss decided to try to kill her, "How'd you get so good at that?" she asked as she nodded to the map, he was drawing in the sand.
"I used to decorate the cakes at my parents' bakery" Peeta answered her without anything in his voice. He didn't have the same opinion of her that Katniss did.
"I remember how you camouflaged yourself in the games last year, that was even more impressive than this" she said as she sat down beside him, moving her sword out of the way so she didn't hit herself in the gut with its hilt.
Peeta gave her a small smile and nodded, "You paid close attention then".
"I had to. I was a mentor, you know?"
"Really?" Bex had to guess that Peeta didn't know that about her. It was easy to have a conversation around him when he wasn't around Katniss. But he didn't know the inner workings of being a Victor.
