Training started the next day. Part of Bex had wanted to get her hands on a sword for a long time. She oddly missed it. And she hated that she missed it.
Today was about making allies, even though some of the Tributes didn't even show up. Victors were cocky human beings.
"Remember show your skills as much as you can. You have to be the lead in this pairing." Woof told her and Bex nodded, they had to play on Woof being an older Tribute, "Talk around. Don't associate with One and Two. they're probably planning out deaths already."
Two definitely would be. One not so much.
Or at least Bex hoped.
She looked up at the Gamemakers who were chatting from their apartments above. They laughed like nothing was going on. Except for Plutarch who was watching them all.
Enobaria and Brutus were at the spear station whilst Peeta was waiting for his turn behind them. Woof headed for the camouflage station where Seeder and Chaff were. Bex finally spotted Cashmere and Gloss dominating the knife course.
So she made her way over to her favourite District pair.
"Have I missed any of the excitement?" Bex asked as she walked over to the fishhook station. Mags could make them out of anything. In her house she had one of the first fishhooks Mags ever made for her in her room. It was beautiful
Mags placed her hand on Bex's cheek as a way of saying 'hello'.
Johanna then joined them, "Happy training day."
"Girl on Fire and I had a fantastic little moment at the knot tying station" Finnick told her in an amused tone.
"Really?" Bex chuckled as her eye fell on the trio that was at the survival station
"What, did you show her how to tie that knot that was covering your dick the other day?" Johanna commented
Finnick grinned "Actually, I had a very intimate little moment with her. Showed her how to tie a noose"
Johanna let out a laugh as Mags gave a disapproving shake of her head but Finnick just grinned at his friends, "Fantastic. Well I'm going to do some wrestling for lack of better things to do, and I'll see you at lunch"
