Yoongi's POV
Yoongi showed up at Hybe at eight sharp. They weren't scheduled to start recording until nine, but there was no use of him trying to squeeze in another hour of sleep when he got home when his mind was already stressing about the mixes and was excited about seeing you again soon.
What he never expected was to find Namjoon, crouching down in front of his studio door.
Yoongi stopped cold and his shoes screeched, which made Namjoon look up and stand up immediately. "Hyung, good morning."
The older man nodded. He knew he had to play nice, but he was still upset, and after the previous night, he knew more than ever that he would never allow anyone to disrespect you ever again. Not even his members. Namjoon had a lot to learn.
"How long have you been sitting there?" Yoongi asked, coldly, as he typed in the code to his studio.
"About half an hour...May I please talk to you? I know you don't want to, but please, at least let me explain myself." It wasn't like him to beg, but the situation called for it.
"Take off your shoes, don't bring grime into my space." Yoongi instructed and went inside, allowing Namjoon to follow him. He put his stuff on his desk and went to the fridge. He was regretting not stopping for coffee and it was too damn early for whisky. All he had in the fridge other than water and soda were some aloe vera drinks, he grabbed one for himself and gave one to Namjoon, nodding at the couch as he sat on his chair.
Namjoon took the drink and thanked him. "Hyung..."
"Before you say anything, Namjoona, I need you to understand something: I really don't give a fuck what you think about me. You can say and do whatever, I'm used to it. But the second you dragged Y/N's name into it, you fucked up. She's important to me and she deserves all of your respect. I won't allow anyone to hurt her, even if that means that we are at odd ends. You don't even know her and you judged her. Do you know how much that hurt?" His voice had gone down an octave, signifying how serious he was.
"I know. That's why I'm here. I came here to apologize to you, hyung. I should've bitten my tongue and just be happy for you. I will also apologize to your girlfriend-"
"Y/N, her name is Y/N." Yoongi hadn't stopped making eye contact and that unnerved Namjoon, the elder one almost never did that.
"I will apologize to Y/N when the opportunity arises. I really am sorry, hyung. I was shocked and concerned about you dating someone you haven't known for long. I should've trusted you, you're not an idiot. I'm sorry." Namjoon bowed his head.
"Gwenchana." Yoongi said and straightened his posture, "I owe you an apology too. I should've talked to you when I began feeling restless about your new friends, but I kept it quiet because it seemed to make you happy, and then it began affecting us all and I still said nothing. So I guess you were right in expressing your concern...you just didn't do it the right way." His voice was calmer now, making peace. Fighting with the members was not something he enjoyed at all.
"Thank you, hyung. I understand too. But...I'm afraid there's more that I need to tell you and you will not like it."
"What do you mean?" Yoongi leaned his elbows on his knees, fearing that Si-Hyuk had changed his mind after all and he had sent Namjoon to deliver the blow, "What more is there?"
"It's about Adora."
Yoongi flinched. She had fucked him up. Badly.
"What about her?" He kept his poker face on.
"Yoongi...I was the guy she had been texting and going out with before you guys got together. I didn't know you liked her, I honestly didn't. When you began dating...it broke my heart."
