A/N: just have to clarify again: I have nothing against Adora and this is fiction.
---Si-Hyuk's office - after they finished recording the day before.
Namjoon knocked on the door and came in without waiting to be let in. Jin had told him Si-Hyuk wanted to speak to him after they finished for the day and he knew he had fucked up. He should've shut his fucking mouth and let Yoongi be.
If he hadn't felt so guilty about the Adora situation, he would've been as ecstatic as the rest of them about Yoongi dating. He truly deserved to be happy.
“Sunbae…You wanted to see me?” He asked.
Si-Hyuk looked up from his work and gestured Nam to sit on the couch. “I'll be one minute, please sit.”
Namjoon sat and began bouncing his legs. He was nervous. For some reason he feared that he was going to get yelled at. According to Kookie, Si-Hyuk had been calm and supportive of Yoongi, which made him the only asshat who had attacked his brother.
It was a rude awakening for Namjoon when not only Jin but Yoongi as well brought up his relationship with the Balming Tiger members. He knew there was no love lost between them, but the amount of vitriol in which they talked about them made him realize that his actions had hurt his members.
Had it been wrong of him to try and have some fun and go a little wild before having to enlist? He had been responsible of six others for all of his youth and never got to experience anything of the sort, but his hyungs were right. He wasn't just their leader, he was their brother and as such, he had failed them.
He was brought out of his thoughts when Si-Hyuk sat opposite him on the couch.
“So, Namjoona…what happened with Yoongi?”
“Hyung, I…I fucked up. I was shocked that he got into a relationship with someone he barely knows so fast. I panicked. I thought…I don't know what I thought. You know I still feel guilty about the Adora situation.” He hung his head.
“That's alright, Namjoona. I told you long ago that you should've talked to Yoongi about that and I think that you have to do it now, you can't put it off any longer.” He searched Namjoon's face, trying to figure out what really had transpired. “I heard some words were exchanged between you two?”
Namjoon gave a small smile, “that's putting it mildly…I disrespected his girlfriend, hyung. I think that's what upset him the most. Apparently they all hate the fact that I'm hanging out and collaborating with BT. I never thought they'd feel that way.”
Si-Hyuk adjusted his glasses and said, “I believe I told you to be careful with them. BTS has kept their noses clean so far, and those guys…well, let's just say some ARMYS believe they're a bad influence. They worry about you and they worry about the group. Whatever any of you do will come back to haunt the group.”
“I understand that. That's precisely what I wanted Yoongi to understand, that whatever he does, affects us all.” Namjoon explained.
“And did you use those words or did you attack him?”
“I know, hyung. I know what I did was wrong…it's just…what if another thing like what happened with Adora pops up? Do we even know who this woman is? What if she's using him?” Namjoon got a little worked up, he truly was worried, he didn't want Yoongi to hurt again.
“Yoongi is a smart man, maybe the smartest of you all. He wouldn't do it if he wasn't sure. Besides, do you think I didn't have someone look into her right after Yoongi told me this morning?”
Nam was surprised. He wasn't expecting to hear that the company investigated the people they were with. Nothing of the sort had happened when they had dated in the past, but maybe it was different now under the new contracts.
“From what we've gathered, she's an amazing woman and she happens to work for the company we're planning to hire to fix Hybe America's distribution problem…that was a coincidence.”
“Hu…” it really was a coincidence or maybe, there was a higher power wanting Yoongi to be happy too.
“There are some things that might be a problem in their relationship, but I'm sure they will find a way?” Bang said in a solemn way. “If and when they go public…the fans are gonna attack her from every angle they can. She will need security…and she will need thick skin.”
This worried Nam even more. He knew Yoongi would do whatever it took to protect her, even if it meant putting himself in danger. And what were the things Bang was talking about? “What do you mean, hyung? What things?”
“It's not my story to tell. It's not even Yoongi's. If at some point she decides to share with you all, you'll need to be understanding. Okay?” That was Bang's way of saying the conversation was over and that Namjoon had to follow instructions. He stood up and went back to his desk.
“Okay, hyung.” Namjoon stood and went to the door.
“And Namjoon?”
“Yes?”
“Give her a chance and apologize to Yoongi.”
“Yes, hyung.”
He was going to apologize even if Bang didn't say so, he owed it to Yoongi. As for giving Y/N a chance…he knew he had to but he couldn't help being cautious.
He was going to talk to Yoongi tomorrow.
