For the rest of the ride Yoongi kept your hand in his and other than a few stray sentences, you drove in comfortable silence.

It took a little under half an hour to get home and as soon as you reached the entrance to the underground garage, Yoongi turned to you, "If we need to punch in a code, I'm afraid you'll have to get down and do it yourself. I won't ask it nor do I expect you to give it to me, unless you're certain."

You smiled and reached into your phone's built-in wallet. "No need. The gate opens with a card. My apartment has a code though."

Yoongi took the card from you and scanned it on the reader.

"My parking spots are on the second basement, 234 and 235. You can choose either one, no one w-..."

Your phone rang at that very moment and you looked at it to see it was Huang calling. He must have noticed you were home. Giving Yoongi an apologetic look, you gestured at your phone and he just smiled and nodded.

"Hello?"

"Noona? You're home early, is everything okay?"

"Yes, Huang-ssi. The rain surprised us and we needed to get dry, so I decided to come home."

"You got wet in the rain? How did you get home? Please tell me you didn't ride the subway all wet, you'll get sick. Need me to bring some soup or something?" You could tell by his tone that he was worried and somewhat upset.

"No need, don't worry. I'll take care of things."

"Noona, I know I'm meddling with things I shouldn't and please believe me when I say, it all comes from the love I feel for you," Yoongi narrowed his eyes and shifted uncomfortably as he parked the car. He could hear everything Huang was saying.

You frowned and kept listening, a little worried about what was going to be said next. You really hoped Huang was not going to talk shit about Yoongi.

"But you should've allowed Yoongi-ssi to drive you home. Noona, he's trustworthy, I just feel it in my bones. You shouldn't have risked your health. Or you should've called me, you know that!" The last words were said a little bit louder than necessary. Huang was really upset.

Yoongi turned the car off and said in a loud voice, "Don't worry, Mr. Kim, she didn't risk the subway. She's safely at her apartment complex right now."

There was a beat of silence on the other side of the line as you gaped at Yoongi and he smirked, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Noona…I…I will see you on Monday, okay?"

"Okay. And Huang-ssi? Thank you for worrying."

"Don't mention it."

He hung up before you could say anything.

Turning to Yoongi, you crossed your arms and he had the decency to look ashamed.

"Min Yoongi…what was that?"

"I…aish…he said he loved you! How am I supposed to feel when another man tells my girlfriend that he loves her?"

You sighed. This was not like before, Yoongi was not irrational nor was he blaming you nor threatening you. Taking a deep breath and counting to five, you reached for his hand.

"While a little bit of jealousy is fine with me, I have to tell you that the person who hurt me used to manipulate me all the time and call me all sorts of names just because I had guy friends. He eventually drew me away from all of them. He screamed and got violent. I don't like the type of jealousy that can go to extremes."

Yoongi dry gulped, he didn't mean to scare you or to come off as an idiot. He knew that being jealous was stupid, but it just bubbled up inside him.

"Y/N, I-"

"No." You shook your head, "I told you last night, Huang-ssi is my friend, almost like my little brother. He's protective of me because he knows all the shit I've been through. He loves me like a sister and I love him. If you can't handle that…this won't work."

Now he panicked. Was it possible to fuck everything up in under just two hours? Knowing himself, he could. He didn't want to lose you and he didn't think that what he did was so bad, but apparently to you, it was; and you had every right to be upset! If he was triggering bad memories it was more than obvious that you would react accordingly.

He held on to your hand with both of his and gave the deepest bow he could while sitting in the car. "Mianheyo, Y/N. I promise I didn't mean any harm and I would never, ever, try to keep you from the people that make you happy. I understand what I did was stupid," you shook your head, it wasn't like that.

"But please, I don't know how to do this. I don't want to be a stupid caveman."

"Yoongi…it's not that. I don't need a pissing contest between you and the other men around me."

"A pissing contest?"

"A public display of who's manlier and stronger than the other. You don't need to fight for my attention. You have it all. I wouldn't have said yes to you if I didn't mean it."

Yoongi beamed with pride and happiness.

"You can be jealous, just not of Huang-ssi. There's no need for that. It's as silly as being jealous of me thinking JK is hot."

He pouted. "I never thought I'd see the day I'd be jealous of the kid, but it did tingle," he confessed. "But I understand what you mean. Besides, I did hear him say that I'm trustworthy, I should be thankful that he believes I'm good for you. That might get me some extra points on the board, hu?"

You laughed, an honest belly laugh. "It sure does. Now," you opened the door, "let's head upstairs. I'm kind of cold."

Yoongi wasted no time jumping off the car and pulling his hoodie up and over his face. He didn't want anyone to recognize him and he was sure you didn't want that either.

Without holding hands you reached the elevator and you punched the button to your floor. Once there, you went to put it in the code and Yoongi turned his back to you as you did. He truly was respecting your boundaries.

When you opened the door and the both of you were inside the tiny foyer space, you removed your shoes and turned to him.

"Welcome to my home, Min Yoongi." You said with a little tremble in your voice. "Other than Huang-ssi, you're the first male to set foot in my house, here and in the States, in three years."
