When five thirty rolled around, the alarm on your phone went off and you jumped out of bed, without hesitation and headed for the shower. There was no time to brew coffee and the one good thing that had come from your episode the previous night was that you had washed and dried your hair and so, you didn't have to wash them that morning.
Instead of repeating your affirmations while drinking your coffee, you repeated them while showering, adding "not everyone will understand my pain at first, but they will when I explain," because Yoongi was proof of that.
You were already at the lobby when Huang called to say he was two blocks away and so, he didn't have to come into the garage, you met him outside.
"Phew! Noona, pardon my expression, but you look like a bad bitch this morning. They'll be intimidated for sure!"
"A bad bitch? How old are you, Huang-ssi? Sixteen?" You laughed and took off your sunglasses to fix the corner of your eyeliner on the sunshade mirror.
Your puffy eyes didn't escape Huang and he changed his demeanor immediately.
"What happened last night? Why did you cry?" His shoulders tensed and the grip he had on the wheel got tighter. "Do I need to kick some Daegu ass? Because I will, idol or not, I don't give a fuck."
"No need. It was my own doing."
"I'll be the judge of that. You tend to place blame on yourself when it's not your fault. I've noticed it and Lena told me about it too, so spill."
"Ugh! I hate that you and Lena gang up on me like that." Huang shrugged and urged you to talk. You knew that Huang wouldn't say anything to anyone, he would never do something that might hurt you or put you at risk in any way, so it was safe to tell him.
"Okay, so…on Saturday, Yoongi asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes."
"YOU WHAT!?" He exclaimed with eyes wide open and he visibly paled. Huang had enough control over his impulses to not slam the brakes. Years of martial arts training will do that to you.
"Geez! Are you trying to rupture my eardrum or something? Yes, I said yes. I have a boyfriend now. Isn't that what you wanted, for me to find a boyfriend? And whose doing was it that got me a date with him in the first place, hu?"
"I know, but I wasn't expecting you to say yes to the first fucking idol that approached you. Let alone to fucking Min Yoongi!"
"Language!" You said in a mocking tone, the same he used when he attempted to scold you for swearing. "Well then who did you want me to date?"
"I don't know, I mean, okay yes, I wanted you to go on dates with Min Yoongi, he looks like an okay guy but he's still a rockstar. The man is THE rockstar, I saw his shows on livestream. He might be trustworthy but there's a lot of women wanting to jump his bones."
"Don't remind me. That's something I still haven't processed. But you're right, he's an okay guy and trustworthy."
"If he is then why did he make you cry last night?"
Again with that.
"Let me finish."
You went on to tell him everything that happened during the weekend, with the exception of what happened after he called you. All he knew is that you took a nap together, nothing more. If he wanted to imagine anything else, you couldn't stop him.
Huang listened attentively to your story and even expressed concern when you told him about the saesangs following Jungkook and how there were four still at large.
