Yoongi's POV
He had to calm down. He knew he was being an idiot and that he had no right to react the way he did. If you wanted to leave, you could. It had been his idea to give Huang the codes, all for you, so you knew you had the choice.
But he still felt jealous of Huang. Of how he'd always be your safe place if you needed one. Yoongi wanted to be that for you and yes, he knew he had to earn that privilege, but after what Namjoon told him earlier that day…he was on edge.
So for you to so easily disregard the possibility of him driving you back…it hit home. You were able to leave him as soon as you decided and it scared him.
He prepared himself a drink and one for you, adding water and soda in case you didn't want to drink, but he had to come clean with you. At least he got you to stay. That was a start.
You came out of his room and you looked cautious. Yoongi wanted you to feel relaxed around him, not to walk on eggshells.
“I got you a drink, beautiful, in case you want it. But there's other stuff too.”
You walked to the tray and picked up the water.
“I have to tell you something, it's about…my previous relationship.” His eyes never left your face, he was looking for any sign of you wanting to leave.
“Oh…alright…is everything okay?” You asked as you opened the bottle and took a sip. You were sitting there, looking cute and lost and all Yoongi wanted to do was to bury his face in your neck and inhale your coconut smell until he fell asleep.
“Yes and no,” he began as he drank a mouthful of whisky. “I don't know if you ever heard the rumors about Adora,” her name tasted foul in his mouth, “and me dating? You do know who I'm talking about, right?”
He watched you think for about three seconds and then your eyes filled with comprehension. You nodded. “Producer, song writer and she was on your shows as backup singer,” so you knew who she was, “she's quite gorgeous.”
Yoongi could see the way you were already comparing yourself to her, it was obvious in the way your body reacted. You sort of hunched and physically turned from him, shielding your upper body from him.
“Don't do that, Y/N.” He said, voice deep.
“Do what?” You said, seriously, you didn't notice what you were doing.
“You're going into that pretty head of yours,” he tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear and caressed your cheek, down your neck and over your collarbone. “And you're comparing yourself to her. There's no comparison, baby. You are better in every single way. Believe me.”
He could tell that your nod was out of habit, so he continued, “if you don't believe me…well, I guess you'll believe the rest of BTS.”
“What do you mean?” His distraction worked.
“As much as I hate it, both Jin and the kid have noticed how good you look and have been…vocal about it.” He sort of flinched.
“Explain.”
“Ugh … fine. Jin said you have nice breasts and fucking Jungkook told everyone you have a nice ass.” He watched you blush and mutter ‘oh my God!’
“I didn't kill him just because what he said is true, but I swore I'll kick his fucking ass should he or any of the others keep checking you out. Do you see now, beautiful? You're too gorgeous for me.” He kissed the back of your hand and was pleased (and a bit jealous) at the way you seemed to relax.
He didn't know how what he just shared boosted your confidence.
“Oh…” you seemed to be a little baffled but happy. If his brothers saying good things about your body made you happy then he would suck it up. “So…Adora? Yes, I heard the rumors about her and about your hairdresser. They were true?”
“The ones about Adora, yes. Hansom is just a close friend.” He felt the need to clarify that. “Anyway, yes Adora and I dated for about…eight months.”
“Were you in love with her?” You asked, almost in a whisper.
“Me? Desperately. Her? Not so much.” He had to be honest.
“Oh…” you reached for the tray again, this time picking the whisky and took a big gulp, then you turned to him, waiting for the rest of the story.
“We were secretly dating before my tour began, I always thought she had someone else…” Yoongi went through their entire story. How he had become smitten with her since before the hiatus began, back when they first worked together on BTS’ songs, how her talent and voice had lured him in.
He told you how he had never really dared to ask her out early on because of his contract. While yes, some of the members had dated, this one was trickier because she worked directly with them but how he finally found the courage to do so when he felt he could lose her.
You never once interrupted him, watching him swirl his drink and how his eyes were somewhere far away as he re-told the story that, to be fair, hadn't been that long ago. He told you everything and he heard you gasp and saw you drink at core bits of it. When he told you about what Namjoon had confessed to him that morning, you were quick to finish your drink and hold his hand, squeezing it so hard that you were almost cutting off the blood flow.
“Yoongi…I'm sorry. I never knew.” Your eyes were tearing up.
“No one outside the band and the managers knew. And not all of them know about how she cheated on me in more ways than one…But that's not all…Namjoon told me something today that could change everything, and I mean everything. Even things between us.” Now he was the one who was on the verge of crying and holding hard to your hand.
“Namjoon said that when they confronted her and tried to kick her out…she threatened to press charges against me. Charges for sexual assault.”
