Y/N's POV
The meeting with HQ had been long and exhausting, but fairly productive and Eunji grasped it all in no time.
She was sweet and smart, you liked her.
The meeting ran long and so when noon rolled around, you barely had time to run to the bathroom to pee and brush your teeth before Eunji, Huang and you had to run all the way to the eighteenth floor meeting room, where the lunch meeting would be held. You didn't even have time to text Yoongi and ask how things had gone and to wish him luck with the recording.
You really hoped things had gone smoothly.
You knocked on the door before entering and bowed at the room at large before taking your seat, followed by your team. The meeting was comprised of your team and the head of the fulfillment department, his assistant and his junior manager.
Kang Junseo was a fairly young man, around forty, quite good looking and serious in his disposition. You had always been on good terms with him and you had great work synergy, it made for smooth and quick results.
"Kang-ssi, it's been a while."
"So it has, Y/N-ssi. I hope you're all okay with having bulgogi burgers for lunch? I figured we'd eat something fast and easy to eat would suit us best, so we can be efficient?"
You gave a slight bow and a smile. "That works wonders, Kang-ssi." You gestured both Eunji and Huang while saying in a low voice, "please help the other assistant with the food and then, sit on either side of me, we need to get this show on the road." They immediately set to work, Huang bringing you a large iced americano first and then the food. You politely waited until Junseo had take the first bite and took a few yourself.
"Alright," you began, switching into your boss girl persona and taking the reins of the meeting. "The third party shipping companies are doing a bang up job with overseas orders. As we are all aware, as of 2019, most of our orders are fulfilled by the South Korea branch and if we mess up, the US branch takes the heat. I believe that this happens for two reasons: 1. The need to be fast, and 2. Someone along the line is not following instructions. I've narrowed it down to the following positions."
You proceeded to explain in detail what the due diligence you ran when getting there had shown, everyone hanging on your every word and you had needed little to no intervention from Huang to help you translate, Junseo spoke perfect English.
After discussing and agreeing on what was to be done, Junseo wanted to add something to the discussion.
"As you know, HQ has been working very closely with what once was Ithaca Holdings, now Hybe America," you had little to no outside reaction to the news and merely nodded before sipping some water, Huang looked at you out of the corner of his eye and kept paying attention. "They have a new team manager when it comes to logistics and fulfillment and they have been...struggling. They're thinking of partnering with us in order to have us control the exports from here and setting their fulfillment crew...in line."
Well, that was certainly news and providential. A few weeks ago this would've had you on a whirlwind thinking about the remote possibilities this held of you getting a glimpse of one of the BTS members, maybe even saying hello in passing at a meeting, but as luck would have it, you were now dating one of said members and had met another one.
Thank God for putting you in this path!
"This is certainly good news for us," you said as you leaned back on the chair and focused on the deal at hand and not on your thoughts about Yoongi. "When will we meet with them?"
"The team manager is coming in about four or five weeks. That's more than enough time to study their operation and catch on the weak points that we'll have to fix," finished Junseo.
