By the time 4:45 rolled around, Huang knocked on your door and let himself in.

"Okay, time to wrap up the meeting noona." He whispered yelled while you opened your eyes at him from the other side of your monitor. Truth was that the meeting was just finishing, people were saying their goodbyes.

"Yes, thank you everyone. I believe that we should schedule a follow up meeting in two weeks from now. That will give enough time for everyone to have their projects started and we can do a brief intro of each one. Thirty minutes should be enough, please let my assistant…" crap, you still had no assistant, "Forgive me, please let me know via email if 4:30 works for you and I'll set it up." You bowed and clicked the end button.

"Huang-ssi…I need an assistant, what the hell is taking HR so long? This is not like them." You were turning off your computer and sorting through your notes.

"There were some liability and confidentiality issues with whom they had lined up, but I believe they have a replacement now."

You nodded as you finished organizing your papers and quickly moved to the whiteboard to write some of the things you had to do on Monday. You were focused on it until Huang came closer and took the marker from you.

"Enough. You have a date. Go and freshen up and I'll bring your stuff to the elevator. Jin-ssi texted me and said your date will pick you up by the back entrance. I'll wait with you. Hurry."

"Why are you and Jin more invested in this date than I am?" You said as you rummaged through your purse looking for your tiny makeup bag.

"Because apparently, neither you nor Yoongi-ssi are quick enough to act upon what you want. Now, gaja! You have a date with an idol. Don't embarrass him by looking less than perfect."

You ran to the bathroom and for a solid three minutes you stared at your reflection. Counting every single flaw you had. The little mole under your right ear, how one of your eyes was droopier than the other, your lips you liked, they were nice and plump…the thin, almost hairlike, scar under your chin. It was Friday, so at least your outfit was a little bit more relaxed than usual, but nothing that said cute or date. Fitted slacks, short heels, a white flowy tank top and a black blazer with pulled up sleeves. A plain Jane if there ever was one.

You quickly applied some mascara, lip liner and lip tint and did your eyebrows. You had no foundation or concealer or setting powder, you hadn't used them in years, so much so that you forgot how to use them. You sighed. "Less than perfect is all that I'm capable of…he's gonna realize it soon enough. At least I'll get one dinner."

Walking back down the aisle, Huang was waiting for you by the elevator, ready to tease you until he took in the look on your face. "Noona…no…I'm sorry." He bowed, "I have overstepped the trust you've given me and I was rude. Please, don't for a second believe you look bad or anything less than beautiful. If my comments have offended you or made you doubt yourself, please, ignore them."

He went back to bowing and you could feel him physically distancing himself from you. Going back to Huang who was an assistant and not a friend.

"Huang-ssi, it's ok. It's nothing you said, I just happen to know my place in the food chain. I'm grateful and happy for this opportunity, but I am not expecting anything to come from it." Your shoes suddenly seem very interesting.

Huang sighed and bowed again. "It's my fault that you're feeling this way. Please, please Miss Y/LN," your face shot up, back to last name basis?

"No. Don't do that." You said, sternly.

"I have to. You gave me your trust and I overstepped my boundaries. Please, forgive me." He turned his back on you and pressed the down button on the elevator. His lips tight as a seal. What just happened?
