“Is this true, Namjoona?” Jin asked, in a whisper.
“Oh it is,” said Jungkook, “I was with Yoongi when he convinced him to vote against kicking her out after they broke up. But what he didn't know then is that I knew he liked that bitch and that he couldn't take it when she chose Yoongi over him. What was your plan, hyung, to get with her even after she broke Yoongi hyung's heart?”
“Namjoon,” Jin said calmly, “explain. Now.”
There wasn't a single member in BTS that would dare disobey a direct order from Kim Seokjin. It was impossible, the amount of respect they had for him was not measurable.
“I…” Namjoon's legs buckled and he slid down the wall until he was sitting on the floor and hugged his head, “it wasn't like that…”
“Then what?” Jimin said. Livid.
“I did like Adora and I thought she was extremely talented…I became obsessed with her and with trying to get her attention. She gave me hope, she used to respond to my advances, but what I didn't know was that hyung was also after her, he's always so quiet about his feelings…”
All the other members were quietly listening to him explain, trying to understand what the hell had just happened and why he acted like such a bitch to Yoongi.
“When they went on tour together and he sent us that first picture of them together, it broke my heart. She only texted me she was sorry and that was it. I couldn't blame Yoongi because he didn't know.”
“If Yoongi had known you liked her, he would've stepped aside, because he loves you.” Continued Jimin, Hoseok put his hand around his arm and pulled him a bit back, trying to calm him down.
“I know that…I know that, but I was fixated on her. When they broke up and it was suggested that she leave the company, I was adamant that she stayed. I figured if I talked to Yoongi about my feelings he'd understand. But I promise you Kookie,” at this, Namjoon looked up, tears falling down his face and looked directly at Jungkook. “I didn't know what she did to him then, I swear. I only heard about it until five months later, when he came home during a break from his service and he got drunk. I believe the only ones who knew the whole truth by then were you, Hobi hyung and Jin hyung.”
Jungkook's eyes went wide and he plopped back on the couch, everyone else was speechless.
“If I had known I wouldn't have pushed for her to stay, by the time he told me about it, it was too late to rescind her contract, and it would've led to a lot of issues…legal issues for Yoongi. She threatened to put forward charges of sexual harassment against him.”
“She what!?” Jin was up and pacing now. “Yoongi never did such a thing!”
“I know!” Replied Namjoon, “but it was her way of making sure her contract wouldn't be terminated. Why else do you think Bang PD put her under Hybe America? So that she would leave Korea and hopefully leave him alone. He knows nothing about this.”
“So what was this whole thing about?” Taehyung asked, his eyes were the first ones to stop looking angry and were now looking at his hyung with sympathy.
“I'm simply trying to protect Yoongi and the rest of you. We don't know anything about this woman. What if she's looking to gain something from this?”
Jin sighed, “Monah…” he was much calmer now and his voice was back to being sweet, “there's so much that you could've done differently. Remember that before our leader you're our brother. If we keep secrets from each other, shit like this happens, that's why Yoongi wanted to come clean. He's happy, he deserves happiness and he's not dumb. Believe me, he put a lot of thought and stress behind this and he never once faltered in his obligations to us.”
“If anything, he's been working harder and that's saying something, he's always worked the hardest among us,” added Hobi who was now sitting on the armrest of the couch and rubbing Namjoon's shoulder.
“Exactly. This won't affect us and it will make our brother happy, but you hurt him Monah, you hurt him and you disrespected him in a way I never thought possible.”
“I'm sorry.”
“Like I told you on Saturday, it's not me you have to apologize to, it's to Yoongi…and you better do it fast, because if this festers…then we will have a problem.”
Jin headed for the door.
“Where are you going?” Jimin asked.
“Up to Bang's, I'm going to go back Yoongi up. Someone get Namjoona some water and get him to stop crying, it will hurt his voice.”
A look passed between Jimin and Tae and he said, “We're coming too. Hoseok too.” Hobi nodded.
“Jungkookie,” Jin said. Jungkook was sitting still, staring at a crying Namjoon without saying anything, he was confused as hell, hurt and maybe embarrassed at how he treated him, “you help Monah and fix…whatever it was that got fucked up just now. Before we have to record.”
“I should go too, apologize.” Stuttered Nam.
“Not right now,” Jin said, “Yoongi needs his strength to talk to Bang, you will distract him. But I will let him know that you agree.”
And with that, the four of them headed up to back their brother up.
