Y/N'S POV
After Yoongi's text your whole day went by in a blur. There were reports to finish, projects to manage and strategies to plan. They had sprung this trip on you out of nowhere and while you were confident about getting the outcome that they needed, a little bit more time would've been nice.
Around 5:15, Eunji poked her head in your office to say goodbye and to wish you a safe trip. She assured you that she'd be on call for whatever you may need and that she'd keep everything under control. She reminded you that Hybe America was supposed to send their comments on the first drafts you sent in the following days, but that she'd keep an eye out for them. Eunji was extremely smart and efficient.
Surprisingly, you were done for the day at 5:30, even with everything you had to get done. You packed up your laptop, double checked you had everything you'd need from the office and checked your google wallet for the hotel vouchers and travel expenses.
Seoul was fairly safe to walk alone and since it wasn't even that late, it wasn't dark out yet. You took the time to stop by the CU down the block to buy a few snacks for the trip the following day and then headed to the subway station.
5:56
Y/N: “I’m at the station, waiting for my train. I need to switch twice and I should be home a little before seven. Here's the link for my location.”5:57
MY: “Thank you, baby. I'm almost done with the ad libs. Yi Jeong says hello. I'll probably be on my way to dinner when you get home. Text me as soon as you're in your apartment, please. Try not to go to bed so late.”Your phone vibrated with a new notification, Yoongi had begun tracking you. It made you relax a little. That was new.
Your train came and you began your journey home. It wasn't an unknown path, you knew the subway like the back of your hand and it felt somewhat liberating to be able to travel on your own.
Something caught your eye on the other side of the aisle. A girl who looked like she was in high school, had a Shooky photocard holder hanging from her bag and in it, a fanmade pc of Yoongi pouting and wearing a Supreme headband with mint hair. You loved that picture. It felt like he was watching over you. A big goofy smile came to your face and you sat back to enjoy the ride.
Yoongi's POV
The fact that you had decided to share your real time location with him was a huge step. Yoongi knew you were doing it to appease him, you knew he wasn't happy about you using the subway.
In a way, Yoongi knew he was being irrational. For the first twenty years of his life he had used public transportation to move around, he knew it was safe. But he also knew what it was like to have social anxiety, he knew that it could come at anytime and, what worried him the most, he knew that there were creeps out there too.
He read the news, he went online and saw all the videos where foreigners complained about men in Korea ogling them or making suggestive gestures at them, he knew about men who took drunk foreign women to hotels against their will. For every good bit about Seoul that people loved, there were dark bits that people often kept quiet.
He knew you weren't out getting drunk and that should you wish to do that, you shouldn't have to worry about some idiot wanting to get in your pants, but knowing what had happened to you, he wished to spare you the trouble.
As soon as you texted the link, he opened it and began tracking your location.
“Yoongi-ya, I said, what do you think about speeding up the progression in this part?” Asked and exasperated Yi Jeong.
“Mianhe, brother, play it again?”
El Capitxn did and after a few runs, Yoongi nodded. “Yeah, it works. Apply it to the bridge too…Boom! That's a hit.” They high fived and Yoongi's phone vibrated.
