Mixed POVs

You were sitting with your legs tucked under you and were resting against Yoongi's chest, who had his arm wrapped around you and was rubbing your arms. You were still cold and the blanket was covering your lower body.

“This won't take long. I'll be out of your hair soon,” said Namjoon by way of starting the conversation as he sat on the ottoman across from the two of you.

“First and foremost, let me begin by apologizing about my appalling behavior and reaction when hyung told us about your relationship with him. I was an asshole and I deserved to be punched. Now that I've gotten to know you, I understand why hyung fell for you and why you are so important to him. To all of us, really. So please, noona, accept my apology.” He bowed.

“Namjoon-ssi, please don't,” you said, sitting up, “you already apologized when you gave me the succulent. Everything is water under the bridge. Besides, I should be the one apologizing to you for what I made you all go through since yesterday.”

“No. Don't even say that.” He was shaking his head, “I'm glad you found a place where you felt safe and that I could play a part in helping to find you. I don't know what we would've done if we hadn't found you as soon as we could.”

Yoongi tightened his hold on you when he said those words. After Huang had called the day before saying he couldn't find you and after learning that Hans had found and assaulted you once again, that lapse between the call and finding you had been the longest hour of his life.

“That being said, I hope you know that I will try and make it up to you for a long time. Now, about what will happen with that idiot,” he refused to call Hans a man or by his name. As far as Namjoon was concerned, he was a being and a waste of perfectly good oxygen.

“He will try to argue that he was assaulted by hyung first or at least that's what we fear, though by the beating he received, he might have some memory issues. But everyone has been telling him that he shouldn't have attacked Yoongi, that he should've known he wouldn't go down without a fight.”

At that, both you and Yoongi stared at Namjoon, waiting for further explanation.

“It was all part of Si-Hyuk's plan. He figured that either hyung or Seojun would eventually crack and beat his ass, so he decided to beat him in his own twisted mind game. Everyone involved in getting him out of here is sort of gaslighting him.”

You took a deep breath. You knew all about gaslighting. That asshole had done it to you for years and you knew how deep that messed people up.

The fact that he was now being subjected to the same tactics he used on you wasn't settling well in your head, but you were conflicted. On the one hand you felt bad and were scared about what might happen, feeling out of touch with one's mind was a terrible thing, but on the other hand you knew Hans deserved to pay for what he did to you and honestly? Being gaslighted was the least of the evils he put you through. You also knew that it was the only way he was going to face trial and that it was also the only way to protect Yoongi after what he did.

“I…this feels morally wrong, Namjoon-ssi.” Both men were looking at you with the same expression,  one that said they knew what you meant and shared the feeling to some extent. “I don't know if I can be okay with this. I can't even discuss it with my therapist because it would be admitting that Yoongi hit him first.”

“Believe me, we don't feel comfortable about it at all, but it's the only way it can work.” Said Namjoon.

“Namjoona…maybe I should come clean. Let the press know I hit him first and let them know why. Y/N and I are going public eventually and if people want to cancel me, then that's it. I'll take the fall, it doesn't have to taint the group.”
