Earlier that day, after Y/N's meeting ended.
You said your goodbyes and it was agreed that you would continue the following day at ten. You were secretly grateful that they didn't set an earlier time, that way you could rest for a bit and have more time to work on what needed fixing.
Once outside, you were waiting for Huang to bring the car closer to you so that the stones wouldn't murder your ankles and were just about to text Yoongi, when Kang approached you.
“Y/n-ssi, do you have a minute?”
“Yes. What can I do for you, Kang-ssi?” You asked, looking up from your phone.
“If you don't have any plans tonight, I would like to buy you a meal as a way to apologize and explain why I handled this situation the way I did.” He bowed.
“While the meal is not necessary, I do appreciate you wanting to explain because I don't understand what happened. Does six p.m. sound good? I have work I want to get done before tomorrow and I don't want Huang-ssi to lose any more sleep than he already did with today's drive.”
“Huang-ssi doesn't need to be there,” Kang said and it was obvious to you that he was saying he was not invited, “but yes, six is fine. There’s a barbecue restaurant about a mile from the hotel, we can go there.”
“Huang will drive me there, regardless, so please text the details to him. I'll see you in a couple of hours.” Huang was idling in front of you by then and so you bowed and got in the car, texting Yoongi immediately.
“What did he want?”
“To invite me to dinner. Says he wants to apologize and explain why he pulled this shit. But get this, he's only asking me, not you. I don't want to go alone.” You whined.
Huang pulled his phone out and began typing too. “You're not. I'm driving you and there's no law that says I can't have my dinner at the same place you will be. There's no way I'm leaving you alone in a strange city. I trust Kang, but Yoongi-ssi would have my balls for breakfast if I did that.”
“Huang!” You said and you laughed.
“Sorry for the crudeness, but it's true.” He showed you his phone with Yoongi's last text. “Besides, when a BTS member thinks you're the man, you need to earn that title. We both care about you and so it's bro code that we should each protect you while you're with either of us.”
“You guys are weird.” You stated as you looked out the window at the beautiful skyline.
“No. We're men. Real men who protect the women they care about.” He noticed how your face fell. “It's not your fault that you haven't experienced this before. Some men are more pond scum than human, really. Anyway, at what time does he want to meet up?” The hotel really wasn't that far from the port, you were nearly there already.
“Six. He's texting you the details. I'm going to change and work for a bit. If I can pull off what I'm planning for tomorrow, I bet we can be on our way home by noon on Thursday.” You smiled. You really were good at what you did.
“Great. Make sure to rest for a bit too. I'm going to change and take a half hour nap. If I sleep for longer then I won't sleep at night. Should we be ready to leave at a quarter to six?”
“Yeah. Sounds about right.”
Huang's room was next to yours. Just in case either of you needed something, but you knew it was because Huang wanted to keep an eye on you.
You changed into jeans, a long sleeve, black turtleneck and your pandas before sitting down at the desk in the room and working away. It was amazing how time flew by when you were focused. It took Huang knocking on your door to get you out of your trance, it was 5:40.
