It took less than five minutes to reach the gate and even less to cross the street and reach the stall, which was managed by a lovely old lady. It wasn't a busy spot and you knew at once that the lady knew who Yoongi was.

When she looked at him she clapped happily and began greeting him in rapid Korean. Yoongi reached out and took both her hands in his hand and bowed, smiling. From what little you could catch, she was happy to see him again, it had been too long now, how he looked healthier now and she inquired about the younger one, whom you assumed to be JK.

So this is where they got their fill of their favorite snack.

Yoongi smiled again and let go of her hand to take yours instead. "He's working today, but I brought another special someone with me. I'm hoping that your delicious food will convince her to be my girlfriend, so I need your help, halmonie. I really like her."

The lady laughed as you blushed furiously and couldn't do more than bow while squeezing the hell out of Yoongi's hand, who only grinned from ear to ear. "What?" He whispered, "it's true!"

The lady was quick to produce four lamb skewers and gave them to you, urging you with her head to try them, but you politely bowed and shook your head. Yoongi was confused, but you continued, pointing behind you and muttering a badly pronounced, "them first, they're working hard."

She smiled and nodded and Yoongi's heart swelled with pride and affection at how caring you were. He felt embarrassed that he didn't think of Seojun and Heon, he usually did, but he was so absorbed by you that it completely slipped his mind.

You turned around and walked a few steps towards his managers, offering two to each of them with a bow. Both men didn't know what to do but one nod and a smile from Yoongi put them at ease. They bowed and thanked you, they even smiled at you, a rare sight from them.

You went back to stand beside Yoongi while waiting for your food.

"You're amazing, you know that?"

"Hu?"

"Usually, the people we hang out with never give a second thought about our managers, we're always the ones who worry about them. And you…you fed them first. Are you even real?"

You laughed and squeezed his arm, "It's called being polite and having manners, Yoongi. I was taught, from a very early age, that you have to respect everyone, particularly those who are providing a service to you. And what greater service than these two gentlemen who are making sure no crazy fan can harm you. They're protecting your life, Yoongi, I don't think I'll ever be able to repay them for that."

"Aish! You're making me feel embarrassed. I'm not that special," he was blushing and the old lady was laughing at him. It was the cutest thing ever.

You took the next four skewers and gave two to Yoongi. You, of course, already knew they were going to be great, you had had them before. But this time upon taking your first bite you knew something was different. Maybe it was that Yoongi had said he was relying on the food to convince you, maybe the old lady had poured her magic into them, but they were even tastier than you remembered.

A moan escaped your throat and you closed your eyes in pleasure. They were decadent.

"That good, hu?" Yoongi said, as he took a bite himself.

You nodded and gave a thumbs up as you continued to eat your way through both of your skewers. The lady looked proud. You were reaching for your wallet and both Yoongi and her began saying no. You began to protest, you wanted to treat Yoongi, you really did.

He caught your wrist gently and shook his head. Yoongi reached into his wallet and you saw him pull out a bill that was definitely not what the eight skewers cost. He pressed it into the old lady's hand and she opened her eyes wide.
