Chapter 7

Leilani's POV

"Lani, what's going on? Are you okay?" Sophia worriedly asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm actually in my room. I've met the Alpha, Beta and Gamma of the pack. " i said.

"Are they nice?" She asked. "Well i only spoke to the Alpha and the beta's son but they seem nice." I said. "Beta's son huh? Range?" Sophia asked.

"Perfect 10. I swear Soph, I'm living in a house with 3 greek gods." I said. "Age?" Sophia asked.

"Not sure, maybe same as us." I said. "Nice." She said. "I know i exaggerate a lot but you should have seen them. The future Alpha, Alexander.

God you should have seen his dark blue eyes. His hair..." i trailed off smiling at the thought of him.

Wait what's wrong with me? "Okay, i take it that you have dibs on that one." Sophia said chuckled.

I said nothing.

It's my first day and I'm crushing on the Alpha's son. Come on Lani. "Get this, Alpha Maximus' son is here."i said remembering Alan.

"You're kidding." Sophia said. "I'm being totally honest. He hasn't really said anything though. "I said.

"Is he mute? " she asked. "Possibly"i said. "How are you doing over there?" I asked. "I'm in my room waiting for the dude to leave." She muttered. I chuckled.

"Is he really that bad?" I asked knowing my cousin can be well...different.

"Dude is trying way too hard and mum's encouragement is not helping. "she said. "Speak of the devil."she muttered. "What is it mum?" Sophia screamed.

I heard faint footsteps. "Oh are you speaking to Leilani?" Her mum asked. "Hey Lani. "She greeted nicely. "Hi, Aunt." I said back. Sophia groaned loudly.

"Why are you in my room?"she asked.
"You'd been in here a while honey." Her mum responded.

"Your boyfriend has been out there a while don't you think?" She asked obviously irritated. Sophia isn't a brat i can tell she's just trying not to like the guy.

" I'll call you later Lani." Sophia muttered. "Bye dear." Her mum said but i couldn't respond before Sophia hang up.

Well now what do i do? I could start unpacking. I don't really want to though . There was a knock on my door.
I got up and opened the door.

A beautiful girl stood there. I'm not a lesbian but God why are these people so hot. She had blonde hair and bright green eyes.

She was wearing a green top and headband that perfectly matched her eyes with a knee length white skirt and white sneakers.

"Hi, I'm Kelly daughter of Beta Dean and Gamma Deborah. " she introduced.

"Oh hi, I'm Leilani but please call me Lani. You're Cole's sister? " i asked. "Yep, i know what you're thinking, Cole is a lucky bastard to have a twin as awesome as me but he has good qualities too." She joked.

"I wasn't thinking that." I said chuckling. "Anyway, school starts tomorrow and I'm going shopping.

Apparently i only have male friends so do you want to tag along?" She asked. Well,she seems fun and I'm bored so why not.

I agreed. "Wait there was supposed to be two of you? " Kelly asked.
"Oh yeah my cousin Sophia had stuff to take care of.

She'll be here in like a month." i said. She nodded. I got some stuff I'll need in my purse. My phone, credit card, gun.etc.

"Shall we?" She asked. I nodded and she led me downstairs and into a kitchen. The Alpha, Beta and Gamma were there.

"You're going to die if you keep drinking like that." The Gamma said to Alpha Calvin who was drinking. "Your point is?" He asked. "It's 10am"the gamma argued.

"And the alcohol is going into my body.Or do we share a body?" The alpha asked glaring at his gamma. "It's unhealthy. " she argued. "Dean shut your mate up." Alpha Calvin said. Beta Dean said nothing.

"You know what? "Gamma Deborah asked. "I don't want to know." Alpha Calvin said taking a sip of what looked like red wine.

"Choke on it." Gamma Deborah said. Beta Dean smiled. "Guys we're going shopping. " Kelly announced bringing their attention to us.

"Okay you girls be careful. The driver will be your guard as not to draw attention to your rank." Alpha Calvin said. I nodded.

It's not that I'm hiding it but if you were a millionaire, would you go out and scream it to the world knowing you're not exactly the best at fighting? "I'll inform a driver to come to the house." Beta Dean said.

"Do you girls have enough money?" Gamma Deborah asked. Kelly looked like she was about to say something.

"You have enough money Kelly. " Gamma Deborah said. Kelly pouted. "What about you dear?" She asked me . "Yes i do Gamma Deborah. Thank you."i said politely.

"Nonsense dear, feel at home with us. You can call me Debbie, that's my mate call him Dean and the loud mouth alcoholic is Calvin. " she said with a smile.

I was shocked about how she bluntly insulted her Alpha but i nodded anyway. "Okay the car is here." Dean said.

We headed out to find a car parked in the driveway. A man stepped out and opened the door for us.

We got in and thanked him before he went and sat in the driver's seat. As we drove to wherever the mall was i saw a group of kids playing together which reminded me of Nevel.

There were pack members our age walking around and some members in wolf form. I can't wait till I shift. I want to see my wolf.

"I'm sorry about your mum. I may have been young but she was an amazing queen. " Kelly suddenly spoke up.

"Thanks, she was." I said smiling at the thought of my mum. "I wonder what my wolf will look like." I said voicing my thoughts.

"You're 17 right?" She asked. "Yeah" i responded. "When's your birthday? " she asked. "15th February." I said. "That isn't long."she said.

"How about you?"i asked. "28th January. "She responded. "Ready to meet your mate?" I asked." I don't really know."she said quietly.

"How come?" I asked. "How do you know they'll want you or that you're even compatible?" She asked.

"Well, you don't know." I said, she looked down sadly. "But look at you, what's there not to like. You're amazing. " i said honestly.  If someone should be worried about their looks, it shouldn't be Kelly.

"Lani, you're a princess.  Who wouldn't want you. But I'm-" "an amazing person, the beta's daughter,  literally a model."i said with a smile.

How could a girl like her think about this. "Thanks Lani, i guess I'm much more nervous than I thought. " she admitted chuckling.

"I understand,  i mean in about a month I'm supposed to meet my mate, the future King." I said."How do you feel about that? " she asked.

"I just don't think about it." I responded honestly. Whenever my mate comes to mind i think about something else i don't want to be jumping into anything just because he's my soulmate.

She nodded.  I could tell she was stressed about this. "As future queen i declare any boy lucky to be your mate or shall be executed. " i joked. She giggled.

We hugged, i didn't realize we'd stopped in front of a huge building.  It's been a while since i went to a mall. The driver opened the door for us and we got out.

We did some umm...light shopping and then got something to eat before deciding it was getting late. We walked out of the mall laughing with our many shopping bags.

I don't remember picking up anything for school, but i got clothes for it.

I had fun, I'd definitely say I've made a friend.
