Chapter 82

Alexander's POV

"Dude I don't get why you're pissed at me." Alan stated. "I'm pissed because only Shaun told me when he met his mate." I responded.

"Yeah and didn't tell me." Cole muttered. "I thought we were over this." Shaun exclaimed.

"She's my twin."Cole stated. "Which is why I was thinking about how to break the news to you." Shaun responded.

"Well now we all know. Can we just let it go." Alan groaned. "No. You guys knew my mate." I muttered.

"Can you guys just be quiet for a second. You're giving me a headache." Kelly muttered.

We're in a car heading back home. It's night time because we stayed to celebrate Sophia's birthday there with her father.

"Shut up, Kels. We're in the middle of something." Cole stated. "Don't tell me to shut up." Kelly retorted.

"Just be quiet you two." I said. "Maybe you should all be quiet." Alan suggested.  Lani murmured something sleepily as she readjusted her head on Alan's shoulder.

Alan muttered something under his breath before moving his arm around her shoulder to make her more comfortable.

I chuckled. "What's funny?"he asked. "First you had to deal with Lani because she's my mate. Now she's your mates cousin? Accept it Al, you're family." I said laughing.

"I hate you." He mumbled making me laugh harder.

I suddenly stopped as we crossed the Blood Howlers border.

"Rogues." Cole growled. I couldn't see them but I could feel it. The pack had been invaded by rogues.

'Dad where are you?' I asked through the mindlink.

'Alex, go to panic room. I'm fine. I'm handling it.' He responded before blocking me out.

"They want us to hide. No way." Kelly said making it clear she'd also tried to contact her parents.

Lani sat up. "Ivy and Nevel can't be here." she said. "No, I want to find my mum." Ivy cried. "Lei I'm not leaving you." Nevel stated.

"Nev, this isn't one of those times you argue. You're to take Ivy to the panic room. I'm serious." Lani said.

"Phia?"he whispered.

"Nev, listen to me. You're not old enough yet. I'll feel better knowing you weren't in danger. Promise me you'll get Ivy safe as soon as we park." Sophia said.

"I promise."he sighed holding Ivy's hand. "No, my sister is out there. What about Cece?" Ivy cried.

"I'll find her." Cole stated as the car came to an abrupt halt in front of the pack house where the kids could get to the panic room.

"Why the hell are some kids still out here?" Alan growled as rogues gathered around three kids.

Lani pulled the door open before running out with Sophia right behind her. Damn it.

They can are strong and they can shift but I'd feel better if they weren't here.

"I'm going to find your sister and cousin they'll be fine." Cole said to Ivy before quickly taking off.

I saw my dad's wolf in the middle of the battlefield and I couldn't really tell but I knew he was pissed that I didn't listen.

Nevel grabbed Ivy's hand before running out. Rogues immediately blocked their path.

Nevel growled, his scent overpowered the atmosphere. It was clear that he wasn't an ordinary wolf.

I quickly jumped infront of them. "Go." I stated extending my claws. A wolf pounced on the rogues quickly killing them before I could do anything.
