Chapter 39

Leilani's POV

Kelly and I finished watching all three episodes of to all the boys I've loved before. Turns out we were both waiting to watch XO kitty so we decided to watch it together.

Suddenly the tv went dark. A creepy doll appeared on the screen. The hell? "The curse of chucky." I read the title on the screen before Kelly and I both turned to glare at the only other person in the room.

"What?"he asked increasing the volume. "Change it back. "Kelly ordered. "No. If I could watch the boys all loved the girls, then you can watch this."he shrugged. "It's to all the boys I've loved before. " I corrected.

He seemed unbothered. The lights suddenly went off. "How are you controlling the lights." I asked when i saw him holding his phone.

"I'm not. Chucky just prefers the lights off. He also hates being interrupted."Alan said with a smirk. I was about  to object but decided to stay quiet.

Dinner was at some point during the movie and I made sure some was sent up to the boys. I don't know when. I don't even remember moving but somehow, Kelly and I ended up huddled up on the ground.

The credits rolled and I just knew I'd be having nightmares. "You two seemed like you enjoyed the movie." Alan said and i could hear the amusement in his voice.

"No we didn't enjoy the movie. Al, we're going to have nightmares." Kelly said glaring at him. How i wanted to slap that smug smile off his face. "Well have a good night girls."he said in a kind tone.

"Al, wait for us." Kelly said but Alan was already halfway up the stairs. "Let's head up." I said quickly getting up. She followed and we literally dashed up the stairs.

Since Nevel's floor was before ours. I decided to check up on him before going up. The boys weren't in the movie room so i decided to check Nevel's room

I found Alex there with him. Alex was tucking him in, why do I find this hot. Alex turned around and i quickly looked away. I saw him smirk before turning off the lights and coming out making sure to close the door behind him.

"Like what you see?"he asked me smugly. "I don't know what you mean. " I said looking anywhere other than his eyes. He held my chin gently tilting my head so i was looking directly at him.

Those eyes, kill me. He smirked clearly liking the effect he had on me. Just kiss me already, i thought to myself. He just seemed to be enjoying the torture as he traced his thumb across my lower lip.

"Princess Leilani, Alpha Alexander.  I-i didn't mean to interrupt." An omega stuttered. I blushed and nodded, giving her permission to talk. "I was just checking on the prince. "She said.

"It's okay, he's asleep. "I stated as confidently as I could. She bowed before quickly dashing down the stairs.  "Happy?" I asked glaring at Alex who looked like he'd burst with laughter.

I rolled my eyes and started walking upstairs. "Wait for me." He said between laughs. We headed up to our floor. "You and Alan suck." I stated walking into my room and shutting the door.

I could hear him laughing before his room door was also shut. I took a quick shower and changed into my comfy pajamas. It's crazy how I'm tired from doing nothing all day.

I turned off the lights and got into bed. Has it always been so quiet. It's kinda dark. All alone. In the dark, quiet room. Yep, time to close my eyes and sleep. Just have to close my eyes now. It's darker.

I'm not doing this. I quickly rolled off the bed and dashed out of my room before barging into Alex's. He was laying on his bed in a pair of sweatpants.

He raised his eyebrow at my frantic state. I'm a weird person. "What's going on?"he asked. "Just came to check on you. "I lied. "Okay, the truth?"he asked.

"Alan made us watch chucky and now I'm too scared to be alone. "I admitted expecting him to laugh, except he didn't. "I can keep you company." I heard Shaun respond.

I hadn't noticed it when I ran in but Shaun was sitting on the couch with his legs crossed. May i add that he was also shirtless and I don't know how much these boys work out but they have model bodies.

Alex shot him a look a he shut up raising his hands in surrender. "You want me to come and stay with you till you fall asleep? "He asked. I nodded, kinda shy that I was asking for this.

"Or you can just sleep together tonight like normal mates, or better yet teenagers. "Shaun said rolling his eyes. "You'll understand when you're my age." Alex responded with a shrug.

"I'll be your age in a few hours." Shaun retorted. "Umm no, try as you may but you'll always be younger. "Alex said with a smirk before getting up. He took my hand. "Don't wait up for me kid."he added as Shaun glared daggers at him.

He led me out and into my room. With him here the darkness isn't even bothering me. "I know if chucky was to kill me now, you're going down with me." I said pulling him towards the bed.

I got in and shifted. Even in the darkness i could see Alex hesitated. I reached over and tugged at his arm. He slowly got in. I shifted closer to him, resting my head on his chest.

"You know...I wouldn't mind you sleeping here. If you want to of course." I quickly added. He wrapped his arm around me. "Don't let Shaun pressure you into anything." He responded.

"It's not Shaun. I want you to know I'm okay with it."i said. He nodded and kissed my forehead. "Actually, about Shaun. He's turning 18 tomorrow but he doesn't seem to want to do anything." I said.

I'd spoken to Shaun to see how he wanted to spend his birthday since I'd taken him away from his pack but he didn't seem to want to do anything.

Alex sighed. "Shaun just doesn't like much attention on his birthday so just act like it's a regular day."he responded. "Oh okay."I said softly. I'm not going to force Shaun, i just want him to understand his birthday is really important.

"Don't worry about it."he murmured running his fingers through my hair. I could get use to this, i thought to myself as i snuggled closer. He said something but i don't remember because I was already drifting off to sleep.

~~the next morning ~~

I woke to find Alex's side of the bed empty. I dragged myself out of bed and got ready for the day. I headed downstairs and found Kelly and Nevel in the kitchen. Kelly was making pancakes and Nevel was reading something to her from the book he was holding.

"Good morning guys." I greeted. Kelly smiled while Nevel just seemed focused on what he was reading. "Why are you up so early?" I asked Nevel. "Dad said you'll be leaving today so i wanted to be with you."he said.

Oh right. I felt arms wrap around my waist. "We can stay as long as you want." Alex whispered in my ear. "You have a pack." I reasoned.

"Dad's still alpha and he said to stay as long as you want. "He responded. "They're your family."he added. "What about school? "I asked. "We barely even go to school. "He said.

"We go everyday." I said confused. "Oh yeah it's Alan."he said with a shrug as he pulled away. "Wait what?" I asked but Alex had already left and sat next to Nevel on the kitchen stool.

"Shaun's pancakes? "He asked her. She nodded. "I don't think he's up yet. His door's locked." Alex said. "He is, i heard him." Kelly responded.

Alan came down soon enough. He didn't bother acknowledging our presence. He said something to Alex and they excused themselves before leaving immediately.

"What was that all about?" I asked confused. We just shrugged it off and I helped Kelly with the pancakes as Nevel continued reading. Turns out he was reading  the grinch.
