Alexander's POV
There was a knock at my door. It was Nevel. "Need anything, bud?"I asked. "I thought Lei would be here."Nevel said sounding confused.
"She's not in her room?" I asked. He shook his head. "That's weird. Maybe she's downstairs."I said. "No. I was down there with Bertha. I'm sure she's fine though."Nevel responded.
"Okay, so what do you want to do?" I asked him. "I don't know. I'm bored."he said. "You like video games?"I asked handing him my phone and got back to what I was doing, He plopped down on the bed and looked around.
"Why are there maps all over your room?"he asked.
"I use it to keep track of where rogues frequently attack from. These rogues seem to have no agenda.
There are no specific locations that can give away where the rogue king is."I said running my fingers through my hair.
"Shaun's brother."he suddenly stated not taking his eyes off the screen. "You think he'll tell us where his own father is?" I asked.
"No, but he'll slip up eventually. Where has he been spotted most?"Nevel asked.
"He attacked me from the North. On the twins' birthday, they attacked from the west.
Other times the rogues were found on pack lands and it was too late to track."I responded. "He seems smart." Nevel said.
"Well then he must know other ways to communicate with his son than attacking my pack."I muttered.
"At least his dad wants him."Nevel murmured. I felt bad. Nevel was too young to remember either of his parents.
"Do you think you might want to meet your birth dad?"I asked. He shook his head."I love my dad and sister. I don't need him."he said with a shrug.
He's really matured for a 7 year old. There was a little knock on my door. "Come in." I called. "Hiiiii." a little red head squealed opening the door.
Behind her was a tired looking Cole. I chuckled. "You okay?" I asked. "Yeah. Can you deal with this one while I get ready?"he asked carrying Ivy in. I nodded.
He looked sleep deprived as he walked out. Ivy was quietly staring at one of the maps. "What's wrong?" Nevel asked.
"Does that symbol look familiar?" Ivy asked pointing at some ancient symbol. Nevel looked at the map and cocked his head to the side. Just the little things he does reminds me of Lani.
"Yeah, it was in the sky."Nevel responded. "What do you mean?"I asked curious.
"In our dream. Instead of the sun, that symbol was in the sky."Nevel explained. I've seen the symbol in the library before. I never thought much about it.
It must have gotten mixed up when I was grabbing the maps from the library.
"What is it?"Ivy asked. It looked like a water droplet that contained a fireball with a tornado of some sort under it.
"I don't know, I'm sure there's something about it in the library."I said. "You mind if I take a look?" Nevel asked taking the paper with the symbol. "Knock yourself out." I responded.
"Thanks. Ivy, let's go."Nevel said getting up. "But this game is awesome."Ivy groaned. "There's a play station down there."I stated.
"Let's go."Ivy squealed getting up. After they left, I focused back on the maps. These rogues are unpredictable yet organized.
What else should I expect from the rogue prince. I'll accept Shane as long as I get to keep my friend.
It's dangerous in rogue territory. He can't leave. He won't. Why am I still thinking about this?
