Chapter 30

Alexander's POV

After Alan pulled me away, we headed down to the gym. Did we get weird looks? Yes.

Could it be for beating up Wyatt? Also yes.

Am i sorry? No. Not in the least bit. I smirked as we made our way down the floors. I noticed Alan had his guard up.

I know him and people wonder why he's my bestfriend but it's only because they don't know him. He was raised this way and their gonna have to get use to it.

Alan and i have been friends for years and that's not going to change even after we become alphas. Or King. I don't really know at this point. Either way, he's going to be around.

We got to the gym and eyes turned to us. I coughed and they immediately got back to they were doing. "Ok what first?" I asked Alan.

He punched me right in the jaw. "What the hell dude, you could have given me a heads up. "I muttered.

"Oh sure, hey how about the next rogue attack,  the rogues give us a nice call and let as know their coming." He responded sarcastically.

"Fine, you wanna do this? Let's run it." I said cracking my knuckles. We got into position, and circled each other.

I swung the first punch which Alan of course saw coming and blocked it. I kicked him and he stumbled back but gained composure in a second.

He smirked and I knew he wasn't going to take it easy on me. I don't know how long we trained for but we were both beaten up and tired.

"It's 9:30." Alan said. I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "They aren't back yet." He said. "You really care?" I asked confused.

"Of course not."he said giving me a weird look. "I think Kelly took my credit card." He said patting down his pockets.  "Scratch that, she took the whole wallet."he muttered.

"I'm going to take a shower. "I chuckled. "You okay? You're kinda bleeding...everywhere. "Alan said. "Whose fault it is that." I muttered as I struggled to get up.

"Is this our future King?" He asked with a smirk. "Hahaha. "I laughed sarcastically. "Look in a mirror alpha." I retorted. "I'm not bleeding out like some girl on her period. "He shrugged.

"Yeah, that black eye kinda reminds me of a panda." I responded with a smirk. "Too bad my hair covers that eye." He said getting up as well.

"Really, how about i make it match the other eye. "I threatened. "Try it and your little princess won't recognize you when she gets back."he said as we made our way out of the gym.

It wasn't unusual for Alan and i to hurt each other during training so people didn't really question it. We went upstairs to attend to the...minor injuries we gave ourselves.

He said he was also going to take a shower so we spilt up and went to our rooms to do that. I could visibly see the bruises fade as i hopped in the shower.

I took my time in the shower before hopping out and wrapping a towel around my waist.

I walked out of the bathroom and into my room with my hair soaking wet and water dripping down my chest.

"I'm hot." I muttered to myself. "Get over yourself." A sweet voice muttered. "What the hell, Lani? " i asked. "Relax, i won't tell anyone you were checking yourself out." She smirked.

"Why would i, when i have you to do that for me?" I asked. She immediately blushed and i knew I'd succeeded. "Can you put some clothes on? Please." She asked checking me out.

"Sure." I said with a wink. I walked into my closet, quickly throwing on some sweatpants and drying my hair a bit. I walked back out to find her seated at the edge of my bed.

"You're half naked. " she stated. "Really?  I didn't notice. " i said back walking towards the bed. "Did you get in a fight?" She asked looking at me worriedly.

"Oh no, Alan and I were just training and we got carried away." I said sitting next to her. She gave me a skeptical look. "I'm serious, nothing happened."i said reassuring her.

"Are you bad at fighting?" She asked. "Excuse me?"i asked shocked. She shrugged. "I could teach you." She offered.

"Yeah, I'm going to learn how to fight from a girl. " I scoffed without thinking. She was about to slap me but i grabbed her hand. She flipped me off the bed and kicked me in a sensitive region.

"I'm a feminist. "She said with a coy smile. "Okay, i deserved that. " I muttered. "Xan!" I heard Shaun scream. "What? " i asked.

"I'm trying to sleep and you and Lani aren't exactly being quiet. "He screamed. "We aren't doing anything. "I screamed back.

"Take it easy on her dude she's a virgi-" I heard a loud noise and then a door slam. Shaun screamed in a very a high pitched voice.

"Dude it's 10pm, keep it down." I screamed. "Kelly get the fuck out of my room. "Shaun said. "Shaun shut the fuck up before i come over there." Alan threatened.

"You guys are. . . Interesting." Lani muttered. "I know right. "I said. "So any reason you're in my room?" I asked propping myself up on my elbows.

"Just came to let you know we were back. Couldn't let alpha of the blood howlers pack stay up worrying. " She said jokingly.

"Please don't call me alpha. " I muttered when I felt my eyes shift from blue to black. She noticed. "You're getting better at controlling him."she said with a smile.

She patted the spot on the bed beside her. I hesitated. "I trust you, Alex." She said getting up and sitting beside me on the carpet.

I smiled at her and she smiled back. "You're right, you are hot." She muttered placing her hand on my chest.  Guys, the phrase 'my heart skipped a beat' has meaning.

"You're quite attractive yourself. " I said trying to stay cool but my emotions were like a teenage girl who can't find her perfect prom dress.

I don't know if I leaned in or she did, maybe we met in the middle but we were kissing, sat on the ground in the middle of the room.

My door burst open. "Xander, can I borrow your charger?" Cole asked. I should have known one friend was left.

"Are you serious right now?" I asked and Lani stared at the carpet with a blush. "My battery is dead and the others are arguing. "He responded with a shrug.

"I'm gonna put a lock on my door." I said as he walked in and took the charger. "You and I both know i can break into anything. "He said which is true.

"Have a goodnight Xan, Lani." He said with a smirk as he walked out.
