Alexander's POV

The girls have already left. I don't know how to feel right now. I was already worried before but seeing what happened to Shaun who is technically the rogue prince is concerning.

"How are you healing?" I asked Shaun. We were in my dad's office since they weren't even here. "Slower than normal...but I don't feel a thing."he responded quietly.

"Yeah dude, Kelly and I argue. But you and your brother need to fucking talk this out." Cole muttered tearing off the bandages from his now healed arm.

"I kinda like this. Finally something entertaining in this pack." Alan said with a smirk. "He tried to bite off my arm." Cole exclaimed.

"You let him get too close." Alan shrugged. "Just shut it, Al. You weren't there." Cole snapped. "Xander these rogues are trained to battle till death. If we don't do something..."he trailed off.

"What do you suggest? 17 year olds are already under intense training." I said. "I say training for 15 year olds should be intensified too." Cole said.

"They're too young for that." I said. "And they'll die young if we don't do something. Our members aren't trained for this, Xander." Cole responded.

I sighed knowing he was right. Being a bordering pack means we're stronger than the regular packs, but the rogue king might be a problem.

"It doesn't seem like we have a choice so yeah. We'll do it." I said looking over at Shaun in the couch. That's my best warrior and friend they tried to kill.

"They obviously don't care about family so...we fight to the death."I said looking around for any disagreement. Alan smirked. Shaun and Cole nodded.

"Need any reinforcement? My pack would be happy to get their claws in some blood." Alan said. I raised my eyebrow but his smirk just grew wider. "I mean it."he added.

"Let's not involve them. Mostly because they freak out my pack." I responded jokingly. Alan rolled his eyes. "I don't want the girls around." Cole said after a while.

"Why?" Shaun asked. "They can't get hurt because of us. This is our fight." Cole responded. "Technically my fight." Shaun stated. "You're basically my brother." Cole responded like it was obvious.

"Right, I'm mated to Kelly." Shaun said. "What? Oh yeah, I forgot. We were brothers before that what are you even talking about? "Cole asked looking confused.

"Just shut up. You're not doing this alone. They attacked you, now it's personal." I said. Shaun smiled and looked at Alan who was staring at the ground.

"I'm not gonna say shit." Alan muttered, probably sensing Shaun staring at him. "Love you too, Al." Shaun teased. "Shut it, I'm just doing this for fun." Alan said.

"You know the girls are gonna stay though, right?" I asked. "Why?" Cole asked. "You've met them." Alan stated. "Kelly received the same kind of training as us and Lani is probably stronger than all of us." Shaun said.

"Speak for yourself. "Alan said poking Shaun's probably injured ribs. Shaun smacked his hand away and glared. "Cole, I'm worried too. But the girls can handle themselves. "Shaun said.

"I guess it's not our decision anyway."Cole sighed.

~~time skip~~

It's night time and I just texted Lani to spend the night. I don't want those two driving back this late. Nevel and Ivy spent most of their time in the library.

It kinda reminds me of when we were younger except none of us were actually reading. Nevel and Ivy are complete opposites, but there's something special about them.
