Chapter 29

Leilani's POV:

We are currently in Calvin's office with Debbie, Bertha and Dean glaring at us.
"Are you going to explain why you thought it was a good idea to abuse a pack member?" Calvin asked.

The boys looked at one another and shook their heads. Alan shrugged. "Alexander. Explain . Now." Calvin commanded.

"Whatever do you mean father?" Alex asked. "This is not a joke Alexander. "Calvin growled. "Umm, Calvin mind if I say something? " I asked softly.

Dad sighed and nodded. "The boy had it coming." I shrugged. "That's the best you've got?"Alan asked with a glare.

"I'm gonna stay quiet. " I said sitting back down between Alan and Alex. Alex pulled me closer to him leaving his hand around my waist. I blushed.

"Cole switch." Alan said rolling his eyes. "Alan, sit down."Debbie commanded. "But-" Alan was cut off by a sharp glare from Bertha.

"Yeah I'm going to shut up." Alan muttered crossing his arms. "Cole you are supposed to be the beta of this pack soon. How do you think the pack members are reacting to you barging into a pack members house, assaulting him and dragging through the pack." Debbie asked.

"Considering we've been here for an hour i see they aren't taking it well." Kelly said. She was sat on the opposite couch between Cole and Shaun.

"And you too young lady." Debbie said. "Pack members are worried."Calvin said."Why? It was just harmless fun among friends. "Shaun said with a smirk.

"I'd lose the attitude Shaun because you're grounded for 2 weeks. " Bertha said. Cole chuckled. "You all are ." Bertha added making Cole shut up.

"The future alpha, beta, gamma and head warrior abused their very own pack member for personal reasons. "Calvin.

"Sweet, i got head warrior. " Shaun said as he and Cole shared a high five. "There's nothing to celebrate because until you all prove you're mature, none of you are claiming your posts. We didn't raise and train you to become bullies." Calvin said.

"I'm extremely disappointed in you all." Bertha said. "Uncle Cal, i think you're forgetting technically I'm not a member of this pack." Alan shrugged obviously liking the upper hand he had.

"Really Alan because your father was very disappointed. Although his disappointment was about the boy still being alive but that's besides the point. He still agreed to wait. "Calvin said.

Alan muttered something under his breath."What was that?" Debbie asked. "Nothing. "Alan quickly responded. "They do realize I'm a princess right?" I whispered to Alex.

"Young lady so help me, I'll call your father right now." Calvin said. "I didn't do anything. "I defended. "You're involved by association. " Bertha said.

"You're all grounded for two weeks and you're going to show your pack members that you are harmless." Calvin said.

"But dad my birthday's friday." Alex said. "Oh he's right." Calvin said thinking. "Cal are you really going soft right now?" Bertha asked. "It's his 18th birthday. I mean..." Calvin said, obviously having a soft spot for his son.

"Mum my birthday is next Sunday. "Shaun said innocently and Bertha's demeanor changed. "Our birthday's the friday after that." Cole and Kelly said in sync and I swear their eyes got brighter.

"Smart." Alan muttered. "Dean you wanna say something soon?" Debbie asked. "I don't think they should be punished for defending our daughter. " Dean shrugged.

"They assaulted him." Debbie argued. "No,they taught him a lesson and i think they shouldn't be grounded on their birthday. "Dean said.

"I agree with Dean." Bertha said. "Alright,  it's settled. You're not grounded but the withholding of ranks still stand." Calvin said. "You're dismissed. " he added.

"Nice work bud." Dean said to Cole who winked at him. Debbie glared at him."I'm totally talking about a project work he told me about. "Dean said.

Alex and Alan fist bumped. "We actually  got away with it. " Shaun said. "I know right." Cole  chuckled. "Aren't you guys worried about your positions?"i asked.

"Eh." Cole and Kelly said with a shrug. "They'll forgive us eventually. "Alex said. "So what do you guys wanna do? Late night shopping? " Kelly asked.

"Yes. "I agreed. "It's 7pm. You two aren't going shopping. "Cole said. "Yes we are." I said. Alex grabbed  my hand gently. "I know this pack is safe but it's late, can you guys just go tomorrow?"he asked.

I wanted to get Alex something for his birthday. "But it's really important." I said. "No it's not, get to bed."Alan said. "We'll be back by ten." I said.

"Lani I'm not sure i know how i feel about you and Kelly shopping at this time." Alex said. "I do, and they're not going." Shaun said.

"Think rationally dude...and stop staring at her fucking eyes." Alan said. "But guys it is really important." Kelly said. "Fine but we're coming with you." Cole said.

"Sweet. Girls trip." Shaun squealed. "Well you girls have fun. Xan and i will be at the gym if you need us." Alan said.

"You're not coming? " I asked kinda disappointed. Although, i don't want him to see what I'll get him.

"Well i can if you want me to." Alex said  running his hand through his amazing hair. His blue eyes stared straight at mine. "No, it's okay. I'll see you when i get back?" I said.

"Yeah, I'll be here. Be careful. "He said neither one of us looking away. "You guys are cute and all but if you're not gonna give me a pup then can we please get going? "Shaun asked.

"Way to ruin the moment. "Cole said. "Barf. "Alan said. I blushed and Alex glared at them he kissed my forehead gently. "Text me if you need me to get you away from them." He whispered.

I smiled and nodded. Shaun draped his arm around my shoulder. "Don't worry dude, I'll take care of her."he said pulling me away.

Alex shared a look with Kelly. "Don't worry. We'll be back by midnight. "Kelly said quickly. "No, ten." Alex commanded. "Fine." Kelly muttered.

"Let's go." Cole said. "I'm driving. "Shaun said. I shyly waved at Alex. He waved back before Alan groaned pulling him away.

"Should we tell Shaun about his car?" I asked when we got to the garage. "He might not even notice." Kelly said as Cole opened the garage.

Shaun took one look at his car and let out a blood curdling scream. "What the fuck dude?" Cole asked getting startled. "My baby, my precious little baby. Who did this to you?" Shaun asked...the car?

"It's just a dent. You can fix it." Cole said.  "Just a dent? I will find a sledgehammer this second and show you just a dent. " Shaun said.

"Do you think it could be that bastard wanting revenge? "Shaun asked. "Nope. He's still in the pack hospital. " Cole responded.

"Shaun...it was us." I said. "Excuse me?"he asked. "I was trying out Kelly's motorcycle and accidentally crashed it into your car. And I'm really really sorry." I apologized.

Kelly face palmed herself. "Well, since it was you two i guess it's fine."he sighed. "Really? "I asked. "Of course, plus Xander would kill me if i hurt either of you." Shaun said.

"Let's just take my car." Cole said. I couldn't help but feel like we were being watched. I looked around but saw no one. Weird.
