Chapter 36

Alexander's POV

We've been driving for quite a while. I can't believe Lani actually thinks ACA is some chick. Literally everything we painted has meaning. Something only the three of us understand. They're practically our memories.

As we approached the royal border. The patrol guards bowed down. I could feel the power as we crossed. It was so strong that it seemed intimidating yet familiar.

I did notice Lani got kind of shy and quiet when we entered the royal pack. There were some rumors about the princess not leaving the palace after the queen's death. Was it true.

I held her hand and she faced me with watery eyes. "What's wrong? "I asked her. "Some places just remind me of her." She whispered. A tear fell and my heart broke.

I pulled her in for a hug. She wrapped her arms around me tightly and buried her face in my chest. I just held her and stroked her hair to soothe her.

Our cases might seem the same because  we both lost our mothers, but it's so different. I never got to know my mother, she knew hers for eleven years.

"We'll be there soon. "Mickey said giving me a sad smile. I nodded. Lani didn't pull away so we just stayed in that position. I hate seeing her like this.

Mickey eventually stopped infront of a large black gate. The gates slid open and we entered. The palace was huge and beautiful.

The place was beautifully decorated with trimmed hedges and brightly colored flowers. Lani pulled away looking kind of sleepy. She looked cute, i wanted her back in my arms.

She looked around and her eyes lit up like a child on Christmas morning. I smiled. "Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded. I gently kissed her forehead. I didn't realize we'd stopped in front of multiple stairs.

The other cars pulled up behind us. There was a man standing at the top of all the stairs. His brown hair and green eyes reminded me of Lani but i could sense that he wasn't the King.

Lani seemed excited so i quickly stepped out and held the door open for her. She immediately got out and run up the stairs into the man's arms. I'm guessing her uncle. I smiled at the sight.

The others stepped out of the cars. Shaun was barely awake with his arm draped around Cole who had probably woken up during the ride. Some people came out as well, they were omegas.

They came down and respectfully bowed their heads as they started taking our stuff out. Lani said something to her uncle and waved us over.

"Where the fuck are we?" I heard Shaun ask as we headed up. "The royal pack." Cole responded. "What the fuck guys?" He asked irritated. "You drink like an idiot. "Alan said with a smirk obviously liking Shaun's confusion.

"I'm so hungover right now else I'd choke you." Shaun said glaring at Alan. "Seriously guys we're in front of royalty show some respect." Kelly said face palming herself.

The man chuckled. "Alexander, we meet again. "He said with a smile. "Again? " Lani and I asked in sync. He laughed. "Calvin does love surprises."he said shaking his head.

"It feels like I'm looking at a younger version of Max. Alan or should i say Jayce?"he asked. How does he know Alan's middle name. Only we know.
"How do you know my middle name?" Alan asked.

"Same way I know your middle name is Zane." He said with a smirk looking at me. Okay I'm officially freaked out. It's not that I don't like my middle name but every one knows me as Alexander.

He laughed at our shocked expressions.
"The twins, Cole and Kelly. I've heard a lot about you."he said with a smile. "Finally the famous Shaun." He greeted smiling at Shaun's tired state.
