Chapter 26

Alexander's POV

After Lani went to bed, i stayed there for a while just staring at the stars with a smile on my face. I received a notification so I decided to check it out.

It was a video message from Shaun. I clicked on it confused, but my confusion turned to anger when I saw what the video was about.

It was Kelly's new 'friend', passionately making out with a girl I was getting tired of. Celine. I growled, my good mood instantly disappearing.

That guy must be insane if he thinks he's going to make a fool of my sister. I got up immediately. It's obvious Kelly cares about this guy so i wasn't just going to rub it in that i was right.

Cole was probably with her and would kill Wyatt if he found out. Cole can be very deadly when he's angry, don't let his innocence deceive you.

Shaun obviously wasn't home because it looked like the video was taken outside the boy's house. I may or may not have followed him home once or twice.

"Alan."i said walking out of my room angrily. Alan wasn't in his room. The gym was my next stop. Some students from school who live in the pack house cleared the way when they saw how angry i was.

We might be playful at times but they know better than to cross us. I stormed into the gym and immediately spotted the person I was looking for.

I walked up to him as he was busy punching the life out of a dummy. "Check your phone."i said knowing Shaun might have sent it to him as well.

He gave me a weird look before taking his phone from his pocket. I heard the video start. Alan's face held no emotion as he watched. The video ended and he smirked.

"I was getting bored of this dummy anyway. "He said cracking his knuckles. "Let's go."he added as he grabbed his shirt before leading me out. "They're at the Wilfred's house."he said.

"How do you know where Wyatt's house is?"i asked confused. "The lion always stalks it's prey before an attack. "He said with a smirk.

"You're sick."i muttered as we walked out of the house. "That is correct. "He said with a shrug. "Driving or walking? " i asked. "Bertha will notice, let's walk." Alan said.

I nodded. "We need to get there fast though. Race you there?" I asked. He nodded and we took off running just like training.

We got there very quickly. I won the race by the way. We were met with a tired looking Wyatt pinned to a near by tree by none other than Shaun. It looked like Shaun was about to throw another punch but Alan stopped him.

"That's enough Shaun." I said firmly after Shaun punched him in the gut one last time before letting him fall to the ground. "Oh Ally. I'm so glad you're here. We were just talking and this insane rogue attacked Wyatt." Celine whined walking up to Alan.

"Leave before I forget you're a girl. "Alan growled walking up to Wyatt. I followed and i can't say I'm proud of what we did because it might be mistaken for bullying.

I see it as protecting someone i love and  I'd definitely do it again. Celine had ran off after Shaun described how he would kill her. It was very descriptive.

Wyatt was...napping by the tree by the time we were done with him. He better wake up before his parents get back.

I don't need dad breathing down my neck. "Well that was enough training for the night, right guys?"i asked.

"Really? I was gonna wait for him to wake up and then knock him back out." Alan said.

"I don't mind waiting. "Shaun said with a smirk.

"No it's enough. Kelly will be pissed if we kill him." I said. "Then he better make sure Cole doesn't find out. "Alan said.

I looked at Shaun."I didn't send it to him." Shaun said. I nodded. "Well i don't think he can tell Kelly anything. "Alan said.

"He's dead if i see him near her." I said. "No i mean i don't think he can speak. " Alan said looking at Wyatt. "Would you   look at that." I said chuckling. "I definitely wouldn't kiss those lips." Shaun chuckled.

"Alright let's go home."I said. We headed home for the night having light conversations like we didn't just beat the crap out of someone. That's how sick we are. I love it.

~~the next morning ~~

I woke up in a good mood today. I don't know whether it's because of training last night or Lani. Probably both. I got ready for the day and headed downstairs.

There was a familiar brown haired girl sitting on the couch watching TV so intently. I noticed it was an anime. I sat next to her thinking that would grab her attention.

She was still focused on the anime. I thought maybe after watching a bit, I'd get what's so interesting. I'd already had enough by the third episode. She was about to start a new one when i interrupted.

"What's so interesting about a dumb cartoon. I've been sitting here for like three episodes and you haven't even noticed me." I stated.

"I did notice a cloud of negativity blocking the joy but i thought Alan had woken up." She said finally looking at me. I chuckled. "How long have you been up?" I asked.

"I don't know. I'm on the second season though."she responded. She unpaused the anime and focused back on it. "Ok that's enough. Let's get something to eat. "I said taking the remote and turning off the Tv.

"No."she responded with a pout. If only she knew what she was doing to me. "Fine." I said getting up. I picked her up without any difficulty and made my way to the kitchen.

"What the hell, Alex. Put me down." She commanded. I set her down on one of the kitchen stools. "That was kidnapping." She complained.

"I moved you from one room to another for breakfast. "I said. "Yeah but it was against my will."she said. I rolled my eyes. "After eating you can continue. "I said.

"Will you come with me?"she asked hopefully. "I'll pass." I muttered serving us. She just sat there and stared at me and i ended up giving in . "Fine." I murmured.

She smiled victoriously before she started eating. I might have just met her but this girl is going to be the death of me.

Remember how i agreed to watch the anime with her, now I'm seriously regretting it. The anime is freaking me out and I  swear Lani is in love with the fictional characters.

"No freaking way. You're watching tokyo ghoul. "Cole said jumping over the couch and sitting between Lani and I.

Cole and Lani stared at the screen like their lives depended on it. It's times like this i remember why I'm friends with Alan. Luckily, he came down soon after Cole.

He looked at Cole and Lani before raising his eyebrow as if questioning me as to why I'm still watching. I pointed at Lani and he shook his head before walking into the kitchen.

Seconds later, my phone buzzed in my pocket.

Alan: Ditch the chicks and let's go do something fun.

Alex: I can't.

Alan: You're whipped Xan.

Alex: I'm not.

Alan: Whatever dude. How's Aladdin  going for you?

Alex It's not Aladdin.

Alan:Sure it's not. Free fire?

Alex: Sure.

I started loading the game on my phone and Alan came in soon after with two plates of waffles. He handed Cole one plate and sat on another couch with his.

Cole muttered a quick thank you and focused on the TV. I shook my head in amusement as i watched my mate and bestfriend stare at the screen.
