Leilani's POV
"Are you awake?" A small voice asked. I opened my eyes to see Nevel looming over me. His blonde curls dangling over his eyes.
"I am now." I muttered getting up. I walked into the bathroom and did what I had to do.
"It's so early. Why am I up?" I groaned walking out. "Because it's Phia's birthday." He stated in a duh tone.
Soph? She's 18."She's in her room."he said. I ran out of my room and into hers but she wasn't there. "She's downstairs." Nevel called running down the stairs.
We had this thing where we always had to be the first to wish Sophia, Dad or uncle Gavin happy birthday.
"Happy birthday, Phia." Nevel squealed running to hug her. "Thanks, Nev." She said hugging him back. "Little cheat." I muttered. He stuck his tongue out.
"Happy birthday, Soph." I said pulling her into a hug. "Thank you, Lani." She responded with a smile. She seemed dull though.
"What's wrong?" I asked. "Maybe later." She said glancing at Nevel with a small smile. "She's been acting like this all morning." Kelly sighed walking over.
"I've just been thinking."she sighed. Cole came down the stairs at that moment with Ivy on his shoulders. "Happy Birthday, Soph."he said with a smile.
"Happy birthday, Phia." Ivy squealed as Cole passed her to Sophia. "Thank you guys." She said spinning Ivy around.
Shaun dashed down the stairs with Alex and Alan right behind him. "What is it now?" Kelly asked grabbing Shaun's shirt before he could ran past her.
He landed on the ground with a thud. "What the hell, Kels?" He groaned. "It's too early for whatever you boys are up to."she said.
"You knew." Sophia suddenly stated. I looked back at her and noticed she wasn't speaking to me.
"Knew what?"Alex asked. "Right...you're 18." Alan mumbled. "Why didn't you tell me?" Sophia asked. "Because...I don't know." Alan sighed running his hand through his hair.
"Are you going to reject me?" Sophia asked looking at the ground. My jaw dropped. "Oh wow." Alex gasped.
"I don't know."he responded. "No you're not." I said. "That's not your decision to make." Alan stated. "Al, don't be dumb."Shaun growled getting up.
"I'll be in my room." She sighed turning around to leave. "Alan?" Nevel called. I know Nevel looks up to the boys. Alan sighed.
He had Sophia pinned against the wall in a second. "Don't go." He whispered tucking her hair behind her ear.
"You don't want a mate." Sophia stated. "That was before he met you, babe." Kelly said. "Kelly?" Alan called.
"Yeah."she responded. "Zip it."he growled. "Right. It's like I'm not even here." Kelly responded.
Alan sighed and turned back to Sophia. "Just kiss her dude." Cole said. "Guys. Out."Alan growled.
"But this was just getting good." Shaun whined. "We can go somewhere else." Sophia said quietly. "She works fast." Alex said with a smirk.
"Piss off."Alan muttered.
"No. I didn't mean it like that. I mean we just met and we barely know each other." Sophia ranted
"Don't listen to anything that comes out of their mouths."Alan sighed.
'Alan, you break her heart and I break every bone in your body.' I said to him through the mindlink.
'Ugh, i forgot royals can mindlink anyone. How the hell can you threaten me with a smile on your face?'he asked.
'That's the same smile I'll have when I pretend I don't know what happened to you when they find your body.Deep. Deep in the woods.' I responded.
