Alexander's POV
Lani and I made up. Get your mind out off there, it was just a few stolen kisses here and there.
Unfortunately, we were interrupted when Nevel walked in. "What the hell, Nev? Ever heard of knocking?" Lani asked pulling away with a blush.
"Ever heard of a lock?" Nevel asked nonchalantly. Alan's really starting to get to this boy.
"We don't need a lock. Nothing was going on." Lani responded rolling her eyes. "Good, then there's no problem." Nevel shrugged.
I chuckled. "What were you upset about?" Nevel asked. "What?" Lani asked. "You're the princess. The whole pack could feel the tension." Nevel responded.
"It was nothing. Why are you back so early?" Lani asked. "Shaun picked us up." Nevel shrugged.
"I did?" Shaun asked from the door Nevel left open. Lani growled and picked up her phone. "Where's Ivy?" I asked.
"Downstairs with Cole and Kelly." Nevel responded. "Did Shaun say anything weird?" I asked. "It wasn't Shaun, was it?" Nevel asked.
Shaun shook his head. "Explains why he was asking me questions about that night. "Nevel sighed.
"What did you tell him?" I asked. "I didn't tell him anything. I was uncomfortable." Nevel whispered.
Lani immediately set her phone aside and pulled Nevel in for a hug. "I'll handle this. Don't worry.
He had know right to question you." Lani said calmly even though her face said otherwise.
Lani's phone rang and she immediately picked it up.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" She growled answering our question of who it is.
"I'm beyond pissed. How did you even know who he was?" She asked. There was a response.
"This is my little brother we're talking about. Trust me I'm calm." Lani growled in a low voice.
Shaun and I were shocked but Nevel seemed unfazed. He is a royal after all.
"Fine, where? "Lani asked getting my attention."Why?" Lani asked. "Okay, I'll be there."she responded hanging up. "Where does he want to meet you?" I asked.
"South border. He said I'll need you there." Lani responded. I nodded. "I'm coming with you." Shaun said.
"No. I don't trust him with you." I said waving him off. "Xander, I can handle myself."he argued.
"I don't doubt that. But not against him." I said. Shaun sighed knowing I was right. "Stay here. We'll be back." I ordered. He walked away.
"What's up with him?" Cole asked walking in with Ivy on his shoulders.
"Shane was the one who brought the kids here. Now he wants to meet up at the south border." I explained.
"When are we permanently getting rid of him?" Cole growled. "Lani and I are going. Stay here." I said.
"Are you kidding me?" Cole asked setting Ivy down. "No, I'm asking my beta to keep the pack safe.
Can I trust you?" I asked extending my hand for our handshake. He smacked my hand away. "You talk like there's a possibility of you not coming back.
I'm a mindlink away. If you keep too long, I'm hunting him down." Cole responded wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
"Lani, let's go." I said. "Can we go in wolf form?" She asked. "You can't shift?" I said confused. "But you can." She responded batting her eyelashes.
"Fine." I sighed. This girl will be the death of me.
