(Her fathers house)
It's been a few months since I've been back home with my dad. I've been having a great time with him, getting to stay with my father is definitely the best thing for me. He didn't question me further about the things that happened at my mom's, he tried to call her and get her on the same page; but she just never answered his calls or text. So the two of us were not going to worry about her until it came to it. I think he just wanted to save me from having to repeat the trauma I had been through. It hurt me to speak about it and killed him to hear about it. I think it's better this way. At least I know I am safe here with him, and he knows how comfortable and happier I am with him.I couldn't see myself being anywhere else but here. My dad was always the favorite parent, the fun, and loving father. The man that tucked me into bed and read me my favorite child story's when i was young. Who playfully beat up the invisible monsters in my closet when I thought they were out to get me as a kid. He would sneak me candy, and sweets when my mom told me no. Taught me how to ride a bike without training wheels for the first time. Not only was my dad loving and sweet, but he was also very unhinged and i wouldn't know what to do without him. My father had always been the better parent. He actually cared and loved me. If I could be anywhere in the world right now it would definitely be here.
It's a Sunday, one day before I have to go back to school. I started at Forks High School two months ago. At first there were a lot of stares, and many people tried to talk me into joining their cliques. Though I wasn't interested in any way. The people here only cared about going to the beach at the reservation or talking about the Cullen kids who kept to themselves. All of that was boring to me, so I kept to myself the most I could.
Dad wanted me to get out more. Try and make friends. But he can't tell me to get out more when he spends all his time coped up in his office all day and night. Being an author must be really tiring.
I laid in my bed as I finished up some homework I left for last minute. This never gets less boring to be honest. My radio sat on my nightstand playing early 90s hit tunes faintly in the background.
The doorbell rings and I can faintly hear it from my room. Sighing I stand up and stretch my body till I hear pops. God I am getting old I think. I walk out of my room and go to the living room. I open the front door to see a girl standing there.
"Bella of my gosh" I jump in surprise, basically throwing my body at her as I bring her into a tight hug. She giggles as she hugs me back before letting go.
"Well I know that red hair anywhere" she jokes as I usher her in. She slips her shoes and jacket off once I welcomed her in.
"I've missed you so much" Bella tells me.
"Same here. It's been so boring without you."
