FebruaryI sat in the middle of the meadow, the purple and white flowers growing to its peak. The sun beamed down making everything glow like honey. Edward sat behind me, my body in between his legs. My back rested against his chest.
"It's beautiful" I speak in awe. Holding the piece of jewelry in my hand. Careful not to hold on too tight, scared it might break.
Edward gleams a smile at me just as bright as the ring. His hand sneaking up my arm, goosebumps traveling in his wake. His palm going to rest against the side of my neck. Picking me up and turning me so I sat on his lap, his forehead pressing to mine so he can look deeply in my eyes.
"You're more beautiful" he cheekily says.
I throw my head back and laugh, "You ruined the moment."
" I can't say my mates beautiful?" He jokes. Now wrapping me up in his embrace. My arms circle his back as I hold him close.
"You can. But comparing me to a ring is a little crazy" I giggled looking up at him as my chin rest against his chest.
"Well what about gorgeous? Stunning, Lovely-," I stop him with a kiss before he can go on. I get it, he finds me so absolutely stunning. I could help but smile against his cool lips.
"Now, why do you keep trying to propose when you keep getting rejected?" I asked placing the ring back into his hand. His fingers curl around it and he placed it in his pocket.
"I'll keep trying. You and Bella can only keep me at bay for so long" He answers caressing my longer hair. Smoothing down the frizzy parts.
He had been on a kick lately. Only wanting to change Bella and I if we agreed to marry him. I wouldn't do it because I had seven other mates. It felt almost wrong to marry one and not the others. I also was way too young, I turn eighteen next month, too soon for me. I still had a lot to learn, and I would definitely not get married until I at least graduated. Plus I still had another year of school after this, I am only a Junior. Being the baby of a group of supernatural vampire was wild.
Bella didn't want to get married just to be a vampire. She didn't think it really mattered or signified her change. She claimed it could all come after. And she still was worried about others opinions. I tried to explain to her that if it made her happy then that is all that would matter. My father always told me that, happiness is when you feel good about yourself without feeling the need for anyone else's approval. She was still against it.
"You're very persistent when you want to be" I confessed. Edward and I had gotten closer since our time in Italy. It took months for me finally agree with everyone to be in a relationship with them. But when I gave in, it was like we had never parted. Sometimes I felt like I was weak to give in so easily. But then again, no one will ever understand the bond between mates. I just couldn't stay away.
"I'll keep trying" He confirmed pulling me tighter against him if possible.
I start laughing when the sun catches on Edward's skin. He looks at me in question, a perfectly sharp eyebrow raised.
"What? you sparkle like a disco ball and expect me not to laugh?" I teased standing from his arms and running off. His laughter is heard along with mine and he playfully chases me.
