After a few days, I finally understood what Alice had seen. The others knew that they couldn't keep it from me. Not with me living at with them, if I didn't sure they could have hidden it. But now there was no more secrets between us. I preferred it that way.
Alice had seen Victoria coming again. Only this time we would be prepared. You would think she would stop trying to come after us, since we always know where she's at. You'd think she'd realize we had a seer in our grasp but then again, I guess common sense is not all that common.
Tonight would be when the vengeful vampire would try to attack. But of course we were ready for her.
We all agreed on Edward getting Bella out of the area. He had came up with the idea of convincing her to visit her mom. He tried to get me to go with. But I denied every time he mentioned it, even if the others agreed.
Since I didn't have super human speed, I was stuck at Bella's home. Protecting it from any vampires trying to enter thinking Bella was here. Charlie was sleeping peacefully in his room for once, instead of the sofa. I had keys to the house so if I had to enter, I would. I wasn't just protecting Bella, but Charlie as well. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if anything happened to him on my watch. So for now I sat on his front porch on high alert, my eyes already glowing red. I wouldn't be taken by surprise.
I couldn't leave Forks knowing the threat was so close to home. If I needed to I could take care of the issue here. I can't protect Bella if I'm in Florida away from the threat. If the nomad even stepped foot on Bella's property, I would burn her and sing a lullaby as she screams.
Everything was falling into line. Now all the Cullens had to do was catch her.
The red headed vampire wouldn't know what hit her. I'm totally the better red head by the way.
Burning my childhood home to the ground was so relieving. It made me feel better knowing that the place wouldn't be disturbed by others. Sure I burnt it to the ground but I just felt like I had too. It brought a sense of calm to me. I didn't have to worry what would happen with the place.
Nothing ended up happening at Bella's house. I sat there for hours bored until I got a call from Carlisle asking me to head home. When I made it back the others weren't here yet. So I sat down on the ground close to the door, a book in my lap as I read to keep my mind busy.
Emmett came storming into the house clearly pissed off. His body and clothes were soaking wet, as he seethed in anger. The other behind him all with the same look in their eyes. Anger.
I jump up and rush to Emmett. "What happened?"
"She got away. I almost got killed by one of your wolfie friends for jumping to far on their side. It distracted the wolves and us" he answers gritting his teeth.
"Go get dry. We will talk more when you've calmed down" I softly speak. Emmett nods and flashes away.
"Those dogs always in the way" Rosalie snapped. I felt annoyed. This was all making me so tried. The same thing over and over again. The shifter this...the vampire that. They all need to get over it.
"If you guys would have just gotten over your hatred for each other by now. You and the pack could've caught her" I stated. This whole 'my side your side' thing was getting old. They will never get anywhere with a wedge between them. Rosalie walks away seething.
"Did anything happen at Charlie's?" Esme asked. She was trying to get us to all calm down.
I sighed shaking my head, "Nothing. She must of knew Bella wasn't there."
"She's smart, we will have to find another tactic" Carlisle states.
"She keeps slipping through our fingers. I promise next time that won't happen" Jasper groaned in annoyance.
"Next time I'm coming. I'll blow her to smithereens in thin air" I spoke with my own vengeance. She could outrun the others. But you can hide from fire.
"You're scary sometimes" Alice says walking past me, she's presses a kiss to my head saying she's going to shower. Jasper following after her
"I'll go check on Roaslie and Emmett. Don't stay up too late Kay" Esme kindly mentions. Her hand pats my shoulder with a warm smile. I smile back and peck her cheek, then she's gone.
"It's been a long night. Let's get you to sleep love" Carlisle speaks before flashing over and throwing me over his shoulder.
"I can walk you know" I laughed hanging upside down.
"Of course. But this is more fun" He chuckled.
When I enter my room I find a letter sitting on the bed. Confused I walk over and pick the envelope up. Letters gave me a little ptsd, my last time opening a letter addressed to me was not something I liked to remember.Dear Kaylia Bug
It's been a long time since I have seen you. So long in fact that I know you won't remember me. I had asked your father to not talk about me at all. I had made myself disappear from your everyone's life.
I just want you to know that I know what you are. A chosen one, a protector, like myself. If you ever need me to stand with you, or you need someone to help you with anything. Here is my information, just give me a call or come visit. Whatever it is that you go through in the future, I will be there right along side you.
Sincerely Lilith Cooper
Address (—-)
Number (—)Lilith Cooper? That name raced through my head. It sounded familiar but I couldn't place a face or person. Whoever this woman was called me by my father's nickname. Nobody knows that nickname unless they are super close to me.
This was someone that knew my father. A female that has to be related to me based off the last name. Well at least if they are telling the truth. Someone who knows about my gifts. If this person knows....they have to be apart of it.
How did this note get here without anyone noticing? Why was I just getting this message now?
I had a name, address, and phone number. They said if I ever needed something I could contact them. I would keep this in case I ever did.
With a confused mind I slip the letter in my closet into a shoebox. I make a mental note of where I put it. Maybe one day I would use it.
