"We should go back. Make sure Jacob's okay" Bella said.
"He's fine Bella. He turns into a big ass dog, and your worried about him getting hurt" I scoffed rolling my eyes for the twentieth time today.
"I hope Paul sinks some teeth in him, serves him right" Jared chimes in.
"No way, Jacob's a natural, did you see him phase on the fly. I got five that says Paul won't even touch him," Embry cheered.
"Come on in girls. We won't bite" Embry says motioning us to start moving. But we stay still.
"Speak for yourself" Jared jars. God these guys had so much energy. It was making me tired.
"So how did you do that back there?" Jared asked while we all stood next to Bella's truck. We had parked in front of a medium sized cabin like home. It was cute and looked really homey.
"She doesn't have to tell you anything" Bella is quick to defend.
"Well she's definitely not a vampire. So that's all that matters" Embry chimes in looking me up and down and taking a sniff. As if trying to sniff out what I could be. I just smirked and crossed my arms.
Jared holds his hands up in a my bad motion, "Well I mean, you guys did just learn our secret. How did Jake get around the injunction anyways?"
"The...what?" I asked confused.
"Er... the order. You know, to not speak about what we are. How did he tell you guys about this?" Embry explained a little.
"Oh that," I sighed, remembering how Bella said Jacob could t say anything, "He didn't, Bella's just a good guesser."
"Hmm, Guess so" Embry states in surprise.
Bella glances at the house, "Does Emily know about..."
"Yeah. And one thing. About Sam's fiancé, don't stare. It bugs Sam" Embry warns before the two go inside the open door.
"Don't ever scare me like that again" I warn Bella whispering to her.
"I'm sorry Kaylia" She sadly speaks. She was doing a lot of apologizing lately.
"Don't be sorry. Just..be careful. You can't run into everything headfirst, and always expect to come out scratch free. I worry about you a lot. If anything happens...
"It won't. I promise" she says. Why did that feel like a lie?
We follow after the boys timidly, slowly entering the home. The front of the house just like a lot of the other homes here on the reserve were mostly made up of a kitchen on the first floor. Pulling in muffins out of a tin and placing them on a plate. I could see of her she was super pretty, is that why Embry had asked us not to stare?
