The horrors of Tagaytay

Adrie's POV

After dinner, we went to the grocery store to buy some food for tomorrow morning then straight to the house that we rented. It is in a Country Homes subdivision. Sobrang eerie nung place and kami lang 'yong guest na nando'n sa street ng houses for rent so nadagdagan 'yong pagkacreepy nung lugar. We got the keys from the guard house then we entered the house while sticking close to each other, I guess we all feel the eerieness of the place.

Suddenly, someone went down the stairs slowly which really frightened us, "Good Evening Ma'am and Sirs, I am Anabelle, caretaker ako dito, welcome to Heaven Homes." She greeted.

The caretaker sounds like the comedian Ai Ai Delas Alas.

"Good Evening po." We greeted back while hands are on our chests and bowing, that is our school ethical greeting, nadala na namin kahit saan.

"Binuksan ko na po 'yong aircon sa mga room, under repair po 'yong isang room kaya three rooms lang po 'yong pwede niyong gamitin, dalawa po sa second floor at 'yong isa po, 'yong attic." Annabelle explained. "Off-limits po 'yong room sa dulo ng second floor kasi under repair pa po."

"Okay po ate." Gico replied.

"'Pag may kailangan po kayo may phone po do'n sa bawat room just dial 319. Enjoy your stay po" Anabelle said the left the house.

We went upstairs to check out the house.

There are neon colors everywhere, it seems to be a happy house, maybe eerie lang talaga sa labas 'pag gabi or eerie lang 'yong pagkahappy looking niya.

"Kami ni Ros dito sa may hagdan na room." I said.

"Kami ni Paige sa attic." Sharine said.

"Edi dito na ako sa tabi nina Adrie." Gico replied.

We went inside our rooms.

I went straight to the bathroom to wash myself and change my clothes. Ros went next then drank her medicine and played with Adie and Roie. She was about to lay down on the bed, but I stopped her 'cause she's carrying Adie and Roie. "Oops, sa sahig sila, dala ko 'yong kainan nila and bed." I said. She put Adie and Roie down then she laid down on the bed. I fixed Adie and Roie's spot then I fixed our things in the cabinet which is by the way amoy yesterday. I laid down beside Ros and hugged her. "Ros, if we haven't been this close, sa tingin mo ano tayo ngayon? " I asked.

"Edi dalawang tao na nagtataguan ng feelings." She answered.

"So it's a good thing na naging mas close tayo." I said.

"Yeah. I guess?" She looked at me and smiled.

I was about to kiss her when the door suddenly opened. "Anong ginagawa niyo diyan?" Gico said then went inside and sat down on the bed. He actually looks pale and kind of lutang. Adie and Roie got out of their bed then barked at him angrily, which is really strange.

"Oh? Bakit ka nandito?" Ros asked him.

"Bawal?" Gico asked her back.

"Ay takooot." Ros teased Gico.

"Hindi a." Gico said coldly.

"Weeeh?" Ros teased then sat down. I sat down too.

"So, why are you here nga?" I asked.

"Chinicheck ko lang kung kasing lamig nung kwarto ko 'yong kwarto niyo." Gico answered.

"Why?" I asked again.

"Sobrang lamig sa kwarto ko. Nakakumot na 'ko malamig pa din" He answered. "Hawakan niyo kamay ko sobrang lamig, parang nilagay sa freezer."

We touched his hand. "Hala ang lamig nga." Ros said. "Bakit 'di mo pinahinaan kay Ate Anabelle?" Ros asked.
