Jungkook's eyes darkened in an instant. Ah, if the situation wasn't so serious, he could have laughed about it. At what point could he have imagined that someone was interested in him? Once again, he had been too naive, and yet he thought he had learned from his mistakes...

The singer didn't waste a moment, violently pushing the gangster away from him, his face now devoid of the slightest emotion. Taehyung, on the other hand, kept that provocative smile that made him so terrifyingly handsome.

"Can I know what you're talking about?" Jungkook asked calmly, despite the wave of negative emotions raging inside him.

He felt pathetic. So pathetic that he wanted to cry. Now he wanted to throw that bouquet of roses on the floor and crush the flowers one by one. Kim Taehyung had really made a fool of him. He felt pathetic for believing otherwise.

"Oh come on, don't play innocent." Taehyung said, without letting go of his attitude. "I know very well who you are, or rather what you do. There's no point hiding it."

Jungkook didn't move, and didn't say a word. He just kept a neutral face, although his gaze was so dark that Taehyung thought he was drowning in it. Even now, the gangster was still thinking the same thing about the singer: Jung Jungkook was captivating, in every way. He wanted to wrap his hands around that immaculate neck, put his mark on it to possess it completely, make that angel his own. He had this need, this irrepressible desire to possess the singer. He wanted him for himself and himself alone.

This had never happened with any of his conquests. And Jungkook wasn't even one of them.

"And may I ask who you are?" Jungkook asked, avoiding answering the gangster's accusations.

"Kim Taehyung. The boss of the guy you killed."

Jungkook widened his eyes, unable to hide his surprise any longer, much to Taehyung's delight. It was a joke, wasn't it? Kim Taehyung was making fun of him again? Lim Juwon couldn't be a gangster, that guy... that guy was a loser...

"You're joking..." murmured Jungkook.

"Oh no, I'm quite serious."

A wave of anxiety spread through Jungkook. He'd killed a gangster? A guy who worked for Kim Taehyung? What the hell had he got himself into? It wasn't so much that he wanted to live, but he feared that the sentence would be much more terrible than death. He couldn't bear another torture...

He watched Taehyung's relaxed expression with horror. The man still had that provocative little smile glued to his lips, his gaze fixed on Jungkook. He seemed to be enjoying himself. And the game was just beginning.

"You know, dove, what you've done is very, very serious." Taehyung explained as he began to walk around the dressing room, letting his gaze wander over the glittering dresses of the dancers. "Normally, this is considered a declaration of war. At the very least, I should kill you for what you've done, especially considering the state you left the body in..."

Jungkook watched him silently, scrutinising his every move. But he was caught off guard when Taehyung suddenly reached into his jacket and pulled out a gun, which he immediately pointed at the singer's forehead, his finger on the trigger.

However, to Taehyung's surprise (and delight), Jungkook didn't react. He remained motionless, his gaze fixed on the gangster's, devoid of emotion.

"Let me ask you a question, Jungkook." Taehyung began. "Do you value your life?"

What a question, Jungkook could have laughed. But the situation was perhaps a little too serious. A bit too serious to let the real thing get the better of him.

"Yes... no..."

Taehyung's smile widened even more. He loved that answer.

"Oh dove, you're making me hotter and hotter..."

Jungkook didn't have time to understand the meaning of this sentence as Taehyung retracted his weapon, tucking it away in his belt.

"Honestly," continued the gangster, "I don't give a fuck about this Juwon. I didn't even know his name or his face until you nailed him to that bed. But on the other hand..."

Taehyung moved closer to Jungkook again, pinning him against the dressing table.

"I'm very interested in you. Far too much to kill you over the death of a stranger. I can even say I'm glad he's dead, if it meant I could lay my eyes on you..."

Jungkook tried to hide his surprise. He hadn't really expected this. He could already see himself dead, his body abandoned in that poor dressing room of a cabaret in the depths of Itaewon.

"But tell me, my pretty dove, if you didn't kill him to get to me, then why? Simply for the pleasure of killing? Or... is there another reason?"

Taehyung already knew the answer. Jungkook was too beautiful, too mysterious, for it to be just a hobby. It was so much more complicated, making the singer chaotic, miserable, and so desirable.

"It's none of your business..."

Taehyung bit his lip, his excitement growing.

"Ah, I'm dying to know even more... In any case, this reason seems more important than your life..."

The gangster couldn't hold back any longer, stroking the singer's chin with his fingertips.

"I'll make you a deal, kitten. I'll forget all about Juwon, and I'll even help you with your 'business' because at this rate, you're in danger of getting caught before you've achieved anything."

Jungkook swallowed. He wasn't completely wrong. If Kim Taehyung had been able to find him, then the police wouldn't take long either. Having the protection of a gangster like him could only be an advantage.

"And on what condition?"

Taehyung's hand moved down to Jungkook's hips, which he began to caress sensually.

"I think you already know, dove. I know I'm not the only one who has felt a connection between us."

Jungkook would have liked to tell him otherwise. But it would have been a lie to say that he didn't want such a thing between them. The singer had already had a few conquests to satisfy his needs, but Kim Taehyung was different. He was a need. And if the gangster wasn't lying about his intentions, then they'd both be winners in this deal, really.

éIs that all?" Jungkook asked, wary.

"I think that's quite enough, no? I'm asking you to give me your body and trust me with your secret, you're the one with the most to lose here."

The two men stared at each other for a moment, before a small, amused smile appeared on Jungkook's lips. Taehyung was right, their connection was strange. Whereas a man like him should have disgusted Jungkook, he found himself strangely attracted to him. It could be fun while he finished his mission.

"Hm, deal."
