My hand tightens around the steering wheel in anger, my entire body tense thinking of her plotting all she could do to harm us, discouraging memories of the past begin to cloud my mind, the feelings of dread, anger, and hate I harbored years ago resurfacing.

A warm familiar touch brings me out of my head, my little dragon's hand squeezing mine twice, her free hand wrapped around my arm. That's right. This time I have her in my corner, and I also have Illumi, Eva, and in an interesting turn of events, the kids. Whatever she plans we can face without hindrance. My biggest fear is that she somehow finds Kai and they work together.

...THAT DAY...

"Could one of you take her to our room please?" I ask them. Bokuto, being the stronger of the bunch, lets her climb onto his back so he can carry her, her cheek lies flat against his back as he walks away, her eyes already droopy.

"What's going on?" Kurro asks, his voice full of concern. I walk over to the living room looking for my phone, the Crimson boys following close behind me.

"If my suspicion is right, it has to do with the past life and that Cyptis fellow," I answer searching between the sofas for the pesky little thing.

"You mean Cryptic?" Kenma corrects me.

"Right, him. Because he looks identical to Kia,"

"You mean Kai?" Hinata corrects me this time.

"Right, because of the identical features they share, I think she's panicked that Cyprus is Sky and that he's trying to tear her away from this life and force her to go back to him," Finally finding it, I meet their gaze, only to realize they're all looking at me funny, Hinata and Kuroo trying their best to muffle their laugh. "What did I say?"

"Do you purposely say their names wrong or do you just not care enough to remember," Tsukki asks.

"Why would I need to remember irrelevant information?" I counter.

Turning my attention back to my phone, I text Illumi the code 'shot glass'.  It's the code he makes me use when it concerns (Y/N), otherwise he leaves my messages on read for hours, even days on end.

Why shot glass you may ask. He said it's because she's short and an alcoholic. Honestly, those two are both so complicated yet so easy to read. It's a migraine of its own.

About half an hour goes by getting him up to speed with everything. As we were talking, apparently he packed a suitcase and booked a ticket on the next plane here. If there's one thing I can say I respect about him is that he doesn't hesitate in any matter once it involves his little sister. As much as they get on each other's nerves daily, they love and protect each other without hesitation. I must admit I'm a little envious of the bond they share.

As I stand outside our room, I debate heavily on going in. I don't want to disturb her but at the same time, I don't know how much longer I can endure to see her like this. With a heavy sigh, I open the door as easily as I can. Her body flinches. The moment our eyes connect, most of my worry fades into the background. She truly does have an effect on me like no other.

"Sorry love," I murmur walking over to her. I sit next to her and help her undress. With her top and bra off, I slip my t-shirt over her head. I was about to go in for a shower anyway. I take her pants, bra, and top to the laundry hamper whilst also picking up one of her comfy fluffy shorts from the closet.

"I called Illumi, he says you're not allowed to use your abilities unless unquestionably necessary, and he's already on a plane on his way here," She attempts to counter but I cut her off. "While normally I'd cave to your request and let you have your way, darling, I'm not going to be that lenient with you this time," I order as sternly as I can even though she knows I would usually cave to her every whim if she asked.
