"You have to listen to me, your life is in danger. He wants you dead," A distant somewhat familiar voice calls to me in a panic. My eyes open not to the sight of my room, but to an entirely different place. Nothing jogs any sense of familiarity to me, yet I can't help but feel like I have been here before.

Pristine white walls opened up by large curved and pointed archways drape the room around us. This takes open-concept living to a different level I suppose. As my gaze scans the surroundings, I realize it's an outdoor space. The pool stretches from one end of the space to the other, and the wall at the opposite end of the room from where we are holds a waterfall that hits the pool directly. The entire style seems somewhat Moroccan.

"Why? I don't belong to his kingdom, I'm simply a diplomat on behalf of Abraix. And last I checked, all was well between us on that front," That's my voice that answers. Strange. Am I just a guest in my own body? I can sense the slight worry surging through me, an unfamiliar trait.

"It's because of her," It doesn't take a scholar to guess that he's referring to my little dragon. No one else is that important to me, maybe besides Ma. So then, that implores the question. Where am I? Simply a guest in this dream version of my body, I observe what I can.

"Oh. I see. Well then, this may get messy, not just for us, but for both kingdoms. If he decides to go through with it, that can cause a war" Could this possibly be a memory of my life during that time? If so, what was I? More importantly, is any of this accurate?

"This isn't the time for your silly little games Hiso. Your life, and possibly hers and mine are on the line here," The voice, though as clear as day I can't put a face to it. It's blurred out, quite physically at that. From the neck up all I can see is blurred lines the color of his skin.

Everything around me seems to be in faded blurred yellowish tone as in one of those old TV sitcoms. The physique of the fellow talking to me seems similar yet again, I can't quite place him. Tattoos drape his skin, from his shoulders where the blur from his face ends to the end of his wrists, and I'm sure his entire torso is filled with them as well. Yet, I can't make out what they are.

"He can't possibly expect to go through with this. For the simple fact that he needs our kingdom to supply the weapons he needs to carry out his plans," I explain calmly. I can sense the frustration of the other guy.

"What exactly are his plans anyway?" The tattooed friend sits at the table next to us, his feet perched upon the table. Quite an intricate knee-high boots. I wonder how long it takes him to put them on daily.

"I'm not quite sure honestly, he refuses to elaborate whenever I bring up the topic. In all honesty, the vagueness of it all is the reason we can't go back yet. I refuse to offer our resources to an unsure cause. In the event he plans to use it in a war against all 5 kingdoms, we will be at a major disadvantage," He sighs dramatically.

"Are you going to tell her any of this?" Seems there's a bit of a discord between him and her.

"As much as I would love to, she works close to him so there's a risk of it getting back to him," The words that leave my mouth shock me. How can I ever doubt her?

"You think she's his spy and returning your words to him?"

"Of course not. However, that being said, I believe he's exploiting her without her knowledge. I just can't prove it yet," Seems I knew before then. "All that aside, there is something I want to ask her," My hand digs in my pocket for a small object. "She'll be a-le to l-a-- -h-- -l--- -n- -iv-"

Everything around me begins to scramble like static until I'm left in nothing but a black void. Jolting awake, my blurred vision restores itself gradually as it adjusts to the morning light gleaming into the room. Something about that little show seems important. More so, the fellow in the dream seems familiar, almost as if I've met him in this life already. But where?
