Dragon's Game (Hisoka X Reader) (Book 3 of The Magician and The Dragon Series)

"Lulu, targets closing in at 10, 3, and 6. At least 15 each," I warn watching the dots on the scanner move in closer to him on the dark streets of the city. Dad sent us three out for a special mission. Strict orders from dad, the boys get on-field basis while I'm forced to sit back as merely a trump card for in case things go south. 

So, while the boys get all the fun down in the blacked-out streets of the city, I get to stay atop the building with scanners and monitors tuned into the city's night vision cameras in front of me being the boys' eyes. 

"Hisoka, aren't you supposed to be my backup?" He flatly asks. 

"Stop your whining, you can take care of them in your sleep. Besides, he's got his hand full at the moment," He just sighs. "You doing alright babe?" I call to Hisoka through our connected earpieces. The faint sounds of grunts and bodies being sliced ringing through the background. 

"While I do appreciate your concern for my wellbeing darling, I am offended by your absence of conviction in my abilities," 

"Listen bitch, all I'm doing is looking for a way to come join you guys on the field. I know full well you are more than capable of taking care of feeble thugs to the point they aren't even worth using your nen on," He just chuckles at my words. 

"You know better than to go against our father's strict order," Illumi warns. Last time I did we ended up being grounded for 2 months with double training and cleaning duties. 

"Yeah yeah, I'm well aware brother," Sulking, I switch the camera footage while also monitoring the distance between Hisoka and Illumi's beeping dot on the sonar reader. It picks up the motion of bodies, the two brightest dots being my boys. "Hisoka if you head down the back alley on your left you'll meet up with Lulu," He follows my directions only to be met with the gang of thugs that were behind Lulu. It doesn't even take him a second to cut them to pieces. 

Illumi now done with his prey starts walking towards the dock where our apparent target should be. Using my directions, I lead him to the other side of the dock hoping to able to block any chances of our target escaping. We're shrouded in darkness from the power outage they inflicted on the city, the cloudy soon-to-be storm clouds blocking any source of light the moon may have provided. 

"Any visuals around me?" Lulu calls. 

"Nada. It's too quiet if you ask me. Ambush maybe?" I suggest pulling a pack of Twizzlers from my bag next to me. 

"No, I would have set off a trap, alarm, or tripwire by now," He has a point. "Anything on your end Hisoka?" He doesn't answer. "Hisoka?" Okay.. a little off. 

"Babe?" I try calling to him, still no answer. Uh oh. Scanning through the cameras, I find him looking around seemingly talking to himself. Our comms are cut. "LUMI!" I yell probably gonna end up leaving him with a deafened ear. 

"Stop yelling, I can hear you loud and clear," My heartbeat eases a bit knowing he's there. "Portal Hisoka back to you for now, I'll handle the rest. He walks a bit longer, his footsteps knocking against the concrete. Opening a portal next to me, I pull at Hisoka's belt loop bringing him through. 

"Are you trying to get yourself impregnated," He hums into the shell of my ear. I've become so accustomed to it that I don't react to it anymore. 

"Not in this life I can assure you that," I mumble keeping my eyes on the camera monitors. He grabs the Twizzlers from my hand munching on them from behind me. 

"Then I wouldn't advise pulling at my pants like that my love, you just might end up with a baby," He smirks lowly. 

"I'd probably skewer you to a wall or something before I let you do that," I shrug.
