[ EPISODE ONE ]

"where am i?" i had accidentally spoken my thoughts aloud, still half asleep as i stared up at a wooden boarded ceiling.

"you're finally up." i turned to my right, surprised to see a young boy around my age staring straight back at me. there was something warm about him as he smiled brightly, excited at the fact that i was awake. it was contagious, and i almost wanted to reflect it but instead i could only wince in pain, my body aching all over. "ah! careful, master said your body barely made it alive with the injuries you have on you." he explained, panicking as he noticed my expression.

i released a heavy breath, relaxing my body as i nodded my head. "i can't believe i'm alive either." i admitted, the boy tilting his head in confusion. his pink hair caught my attention as i looked back up at him, only able to move my head freely right now. "your hair looks unnatural." i suddenly commented, changing the topic.

"like you're one to talk!" he exclaimed, pointing straight at my head. i glanced up, realising he was talking about my green hair.

"this is natural." i responded.

"so is mine!" he was in clear disbelief, angry at my supposed false accusation.

"natsu! stop bothering the new girl." a new voice entered the room, catching my attention as i glanced over at the door. i was surprised to find a raven haired boy approaching us in just his boxers, my face burning red as i quickly averted my eyes.

"why are you naked?" i mumbled.

"huh!?" he exclaimed in confusion, glancing down as he realised his clothes had in fact disappeared off his body.

"you perv! waddya think you're doing coming in here naked with an injured girl, huh?" the pink haired boy fired back, clearly taking the leverage in their sudden argument as the two were suddenly headbutting.

"what did you call me, fire-freak?"

"stop it, the both of you!" a large hand suddenly came crashing down on them, my eyes widening in surprise as a small squeak escaped my lips, not expecting them to suddenly be crushed. the fist suddenly shrunk in size and revealed the little man from when i first arrived standing behind it.

"it's you!" i exclaimed, sitting up. i immediately regretted it, my breath caught in my throat as the pain shot throughout my whole body and immobilised me.

"please, lie down," he instructed, helping me lie back down. my breathing had gotten heavier as i felt beads of sweat line my forehead. "your body is still recovering from the damage." he explained, repeating what the pink haired boy had told me earlier. "natsu, gray," he suddenly called out, the two quarrelling boys answering almost immediately. "both of you leave, you are to not enter this room until further notice." he suddenly ordered, clearly taking the two by surprise as they protested. however, his strong glare immediately shut the both of them up as they wasted no time in racing out of there.

"i don't mind." i suddenly spoke up, catching his attention. "the company is nice." i admitted as the little man visibly calmed down. he nodded his head, as if he understood where i was coming from.

"the reason i asked them to leave was to make it more comfortable for you to explain your situation." he explained, my eyes widening as i realised what his actions meant. "what is your name, child."

"amaya." i answered, avoiding his gaze. "amaya lumiere." his eyes widened, sensing some sort of familiarity within that name as he racked his brain for answers. i watched curiously, wondering why there was a sudden silence, it made me even more nervous seeing the look on his face.

"how did you end up in magnolia?" he asked after what felt like forever. i cast my eyes to my lap as the memories of before i arrived at magnolia returned.

"i had to leave." i admitted. "i was useless." the tears began streaming as i was reminded of my weakness, my hands gripped the blankets tightly as i glared at the space in front of me. "i wasn't worth anything to them." i quietly cried, hiding away my face in hopes that he wouldn't see my tears. although, it was pointless since my sniffles gave me away.

"hm." he hummed. "you've gone through a lot of pain and suffering." he remarked, which caught my attention as i looked up at him. "the children of my guild will not shed tears, for as long as you are a part of fairy tail, we will protect you." he declared. i suddenly felt overwhelmed, the tears cascading down helplessly as hoarse cries escaped my lips, the once sad tears turning into relief as i finally felt my heart become content with its new home.

"wait, you're the master?!" i questioned through my cries, still overwhelmed by my sudden feelings to understand what had just happened.

"geh, who did you think i was?!" he exclaimed in disbelief, wondering if he really didn't give off the energy of the master of the number one guild in all of fiore. i shook my head, a smile on my lips as i wiped away the tears, although it was proving futile as i could only continue to cry.

"thank you." the master looked taken aback, before a small smile graced his lips, nodding his head. it wasn't long until my tears had exhausted me and i had fallen back to sleep once more.

"amaya lumiere." i heard before i lost consciousness. "the yin and yang bearer..."
