[ EPISODE THIRTEEN ]

"wah~" i gleamed as i stared out the window whilst we rode the train. it had been a while since i had last been on one since i had no reason to leave magnolia. however, now that i was on it again, i forgot how much i enjoyed the smooth ride and beautiful scenery as we whizzed through fiore. "it's been so long." i sighed in a dreamy daze as the master silently sat across from me. i wondered why there was a lack of response, glancing over at him and noticing that his eyes were shut as he seemed deep in thought.

"master?" i questioned, wondering if he was feeling sick. this conference was being held in clover which was a bit more out than the usual conferences we would attend which would usually only be a carriage ride away. it was the first time we had to take a train to attend a guild conference.

"amaya," he suddenly spoke, catching my attention as my eyebrows knitted together in confusion, wondering what was so serious. "i think it's time we discussed the real matter that's been troubling you." his words confused me, as i racked my brain trying to figure out what he meant. "natsu told me about your leg."

my face dropped as i understood what he meant. "oh." i quietly mumbled, looking away from his piercing gaze.

"he also told me about the other times." he added. "as well as that, i also remember when you first arrived at the guild." he continued, the guilt eating me as the master had seen through my lies. "i can't help you if you're not honest with me." i nodded my head, knowing where he was coming from.

with a heavy sigh, i began explaining what had really happened. i had only told the master certain parts about my past, things that were sufficient enough to not raise any questions. however, it was obvious that my body had been rejecting that lie and wanted the truth out, since it was getting harder and harder to control it and there was more than a number of occasions where i could have seriously hurt myself and those around me.

"i see." the master hummed, nodding his head after i finished. "well, it seems that the only solution is to get you back into training." he suggested as if it were that simple, taking me by surprise.

"you're not mad?" i questioned, shock clear in my tone as i expected him to get angry at me for keeping something like this from him. "i lied to you all this time." i added sadly, regret pouring into me as i avoided his gaze.

"for a reason," master added, nodding his head. "you thought you were doing the right thing, there's no fault in that." a small smile graced my lips as i was grateful for the master for being so understanding. "although, it does seem like it's getting harder to take care of it now." he sighed, seeming to be thinking about something.

"i can take care of it!" i assured him, determination washing over me. "i'll do a better job, i just need to get stronger... and not get hurt." i added, knowing that the latter would be harder considering we were in a guild of mages who loved fighting, regardless of who the person is. the master sweatdropped, clearly thinking the same as me as he nodded in agreement.
