a couple of weeks had passed since the guild conference incident. a lot had happened in that timeframe, and it seemed like most of the trouble came from natsu and his team. they had just returned from galuna island after taking a request from the s-class board that hadn't been approved.
gray had been sent off to bring them back, since laxus had refused to, but when he didn't return with them, master had sent off erza instead after she had just returned from her last job. thankfully everything worked out for the best, and the team had gotten back safely. i think everyone was more surprised that they had resolved the s-class mission, than worried about their wellbeing.
everyday natsu seemed to be growing stronger and stronger, as well as the other members of fairy tail.
i sighed, sat at my dining table as my thoughts consumed me. i was the only one falling behind. i groaned at the negative thought, dropping my head against the table as a sudden wave of lethargy overtook me. it was my day off from work and instead of actually doing something with it, i was busy wallowing in self pity.
maybe i was jealous of erza and the others going on jobs together whilst i was stuck behind at the guild. or maybe i was growing tired of being in this state of static whilst watching everyone run ahead of me. my days were becoming repetitive and i was forgetting why i even came to fairy tail in the first place.
"natsu, maybe we should let her rest?" my ears perked up when i suddenly heard voices coming from outside the front door.
"eh? but she's gonna miss out on it if she stays inside all day." i heard natsu's voice respond, piquing my interest as i lifted my head off the table and picked myself up from my chair. before they could break in, i opened the door just as natsu was reaching for the handle. "see! she's already up!" natsu pointed out, turning to happy who was stood beside him.
"what are you two doing here?" i questioned. "i thought i told you not to disturb me on my days off." i added with a glare, causing the two to flinch.
