"hmm, what should i do for the contest?" i sighed, deep in thought as i made my way back to my apartment. i didn't usually participate in the contest because i wasn't confident with showing off my body like the others. they had way more experience and knew how to entice men, but i felt like i was just a turkey in a room full of peacocks.

i sweatdropped at the image of it, entering my apartment and taking off my shoes, placing them into the little shoe wardrobe at the entrance before taking out my house slippers. i pulled my hair out of its ponytail, letting my hair fall as i landed on my sofa with a thud. for some reason, today was exhausting. 

"ceran..." i released a deep breath, grabbing the folded newspaper article from my pocket, staring at it as i held it above my head. "why are you now looking?" i wondered aloud to myself, my eyebrows knitting together in confusion as i couldn't find an answer. 

"looking for what?" i jumped in surprise at the sudden voice, the folded piece of paper dropping out of my hand , bouncing off of my face and into my lap.

"happy!?" i questioned in confusion, my eyes landing on the blue feline as he stood at the doorway by the sofa. my eyes narrowed as realisation washed over. "right, you guys are back from akane... that can only mean one thing."

my guess was correct as i entered my bedroom, finding natsu snoring away in my bed. he was sprawled across both sides, still in his outside clothes which he probably hasn't even changed out of since he got back. "seriously, he could've at least taken a shower." i mumbled, glaring at the boy with crossed arms as happy joined my side.

i stomped over, about to shove him off when i noticed his face tensed up, as if he was in pain or having some sort of bad dream. "hey, what's with him?" i questioned, pointing at the boy as i glanced over at happy. the blue cat jumped up onto the bed, joining me as we both watched the pink haired slayer writhe around in his sleep.

"it looks like the after effects of eating etherion haven't worn off yet." happy answered, taking me by surprise.

"etherion!?" i exclaimed, grabbing the cat in my hands as i turned him to face me. "natsu ate etherion!? just what on earth happened on akane!?" i questioned, wondering how i had missed all of this.

"ah, well, you see..." the next hour was spent with happy explaining everything to me. from their arrival at the resort to them being captured by erza's old friends, and then the tower of heaven being activated and natsu having to save erza. i didn't say much, listening intently to the story as small gasps would escape my lips, some anecdotes ringing a bell as i was aware of erza's past.
