[ EPISODE THIRTY FOUR ]

"why did you do that?" amaya slipped her jacket back on, re-entering the inn after bidding yukino goodbye. she glanced up, finding sting waiting for her with crossed arms and a glare as he leaned against the wall.
"some people might think you're my boyfriend with the way you hover around me." she pointed out, taunting the boy as he flushed red, ticked off by her comment.
"hey! don't just ignore me!" he exclaimed as the girl walked past him and into the building. sting followed after her, matching her pace as they walked side by side back towards their rooms.
"sting, what is sabertooth to you?" she suddenly asked him, taking the boy by surprise as he glanced down at her.
"the strongest guild." he answered as if it were obvious. amaya smiled, expecting such an answer as she nodded her head.
"that's why." she answered too as if it were obvious, but sting only stared at her in confusion as he wondered what she meant. "well, i'm sure master jiemma will hold onto me for as long as he can." she sighed as they reached her room. sting didn't really pay mcuh attention to her words as he was busily wondering why she was acting like this. "but when i do play, i have no intentions of losing." she finished before entering the room and shutting the door behind her.
she released a deep breath, leaning back as she held a hand to her shoulder, a small smile on her lips. "that's the difference between you and me," she whispered, pushing herself off the door and towards her bed. "fairy tail is my family."
day four rolled around quicker than expected. the last few days were full of surprising events with natsu attacking sabertooth whilst amaya was fast asleep, minerva returning and taking yukino's space, and erza taking on all one hundred monsters for the pandemonium game. sabertooth was actually losing against fairy tail this time and it was obvious that master jiemma was growing impatient ― he had no choice but to let her play.
"today's contest segment is set to begin!" chapati announced as the day began. "the event is called the naval battle! in other words, it's a skirmish in the sea! the battlefield is a large ball of water, get knocked out of it and you lose, the last one swimming is the winner!" chapati continued on to explain a special rule before the competitors were finally entering the bubble.
