"mira, erza and maya, you will head to the former chairman's location and protect him at all costs!"
the three girls nodded in agreement, saddling up and making their way to the address provided without wasting any time. although maya wanted to locate the man who had attacked yajima and thunder legion, and give him a piece of her mind, she knew that she had to follow orders and protect the former chairman who was tartaros' main target for whatever plans they have up their sleeves.
halfway through their journey, they took a quick, short break by a river, allowing the animals to get some rest and sustenance before they completed the rest way to the house. "maya," erza caught the girl's attention as mira was getting some water. "did something happen?" she suddenly asked, catching the girl off guard as she glanced over at the scarlet haired mage. "i saw you and porylusica-san talking before we left and... it looked serious." she confessed.
mira walked over, joining the two as she caught the end of erza's sentence. she, who had been inside the infirmary with laxus, had also caught the conversation between maya and porylusica, although it was muffled and she could only hear bits of it. maya sighed, untying the ropes off the trees as she avoided their gazes, unable to bring herself to look at their expressions as she explained everything that had happened since returning from ceran.
"i had no idea something like that had happened." erza mumbled as maya handed her the reins to one of the animals. "so your real parents..."
"they could be alive, or they could be dead." maya shrugged, climbing up onto her own one as the two girls stared at her. "but that isn't important right now, for now, we have to protect whatever tartaros is after and save laxus and the others." she instructed, pushing her thoughts and feelings to the back of her mind as she looked at her two friends expectantly.
erza and mira glanced between one another, seeming to struggle with processing the new information that they've learnt about the girl they considered a little sister to them. however, decidedly, the mission came first and so their journey continued as they arrived at the house of the former chairman.
