"how can you still use yin's powers?" erza questioned as they had boarded one of the ships that had managed to rescue them and the other civilians. snapping out of her thoughts, maya peered over at erza and noticed that they were all staring at her curiously ― minus wendy and natsu who were immediately by the edge of the ship whilst feeling the effects of motion sickness.
"i still have the power of her soul inside of my own soul," maya explained. "before i could only access it through unifying with yang, but now i can do it on my own." she smiled, feeling slightly proud of herself for having executed it perfectly. "although it was my first time trying it out in battle." she admitted sheepishly, realising that it could've gone either way.
"who do you think she was talking about at the end there?" lucy questioned. the others deliberated the thought, trying to figure out who in alvarez would be interested in maya, but no one came to mind.
"they didn't seem familiar at all." maya sighed, rubbing natsu's back as he hung over the edge of the ship. "but then again, my parents had connections in the west continent, maybe something had happened." she admitted, trying to recall the faces she had been introduced to during her birthday parties as a child.
"so what do we do now?" lucy asked the question that was on everyone's mind.
"we'll start by finding―" erza was suddenly cut off when she disappeared into thin air, taking them all by surprise when the same suddenly happened to all of them one by one.
"what is this?!" happy exclaimed as they all landed in a completely different place to earlier, confusing them all as they tried to figure out their surroundings.
"don't worry, it's my magic." mest assured, catching their attention.
"what is this place?" erza questioned as wendy and natsu were cheering that they weren't motion sick anymore.
