despite their efforts. despite putting their all into each attack and risking their lives. it was futile. the end seemed unavoidable. "is this the end?" maya stared in disbelief, tears lining her vision as her jaw clenched. she was just beginning to figure herself out, and now there was nothing she could do to help save themselves.

"defense magic wielders! use everything in your power!" erza instructed.

"there's no time to write an enchantment." freed panicked, unable to think straight with the situation going on.

"script magic has plenty of other defensive spells!" levy pointed out, keeping a calm and rational mindset as they tried to find a resolution together.

"everyone! focus your magic power on freed's group!" lisanna called out.

"magic?" maya mumbled quietly to herself, her hand dropping to her neck where her ribbon was tied. that's right. if i had just been strong enough to use yin and yang, then― her negative thoughts were cut off when a hand was held out in front of her. 

"we're not going out like this!" natsu declared, catching her attention as she looked up at him. that's right. she thought to herself, blinking away her tears. her moment of weakness immediately disappeared as she remembered she wasn't alone, she didn't need to figure things out by herself anymore when she had her family with her. nodding her head, she gently placed her hand in his and stood to her feet with the help of natsu. all twenty two of them gathered into a circle, holding tightly onto one another's hands whilst at the same time acnologia readied a roar, attacking them at the same time.

and just like that, the island of tenrou where they had gathered for the s-class trials ceased to exist. the fairy tail wizards and their master had disappeared. the rest of the fairy tail members who had been left behind had hope that they would find their missing fairies again. even after seven long years of waiting, they still had hope.

"where am i?" the green haired mage sat up, her half lidded eyes trying to recognise her surroundings. she was yet to realise the ribbon that was always tied around her neck had fallen to the ground, completely tattered and destroyed as it no longer adorned the magic that would seal away her magic. her clothes had been ripped and destroyed, barely clinging to her body as scars scattered all over her skin. she couldn't remember anything. 

"you're awake." a voice called out. she peered over her shoulder, her eyes landing on a young, blonde haired lady who only wore a dress with no shoes. "yang."
