Dear diary,
After telling the Senate what Tempestas had told us, the entire room had been stilled into a shocked silence. Nobody seemed to know what to make of this new threat, and the prospect of another venture into the Labyrinth; something nobody was looking forward to.
"We need a quest," Jason said, being the first to speak. "Someone to go back in the Labyrinth and stop the Titans."
"It's too dangerous," a retired legionnaire said from the stands. "The Labyrinth is a madhouse full of lethal monsters and it's entirely too unpredictable."
"That's why we have a plan," I said, my voice carrying through the Senate house. Suki was watching me closely, her hands wrapped in nectar-soaked bandages, so she looked like she had on mittens. "Suki has the Sight of Somnus."
Everyone stared at her.
She looked around curiously. "Hi."
"What is that?" Jason asked her.
Suki shrugged. "I haven't a clue."
Everyone groaned.
"Hang on." Soledad stared at me. "Is this true?"
"Tempestas told us that's why the Titans are trying to take Suki," I said. "She's blessed with the Sight of Somnus. That's why she can see and hear in his realm, when other children of Somnus can't." A few people looked at her enviously, but I continued; "That's part of why Suki's intuition is so impressive. She can see things, even if she doesn't feel like she can."
Suki stared at me. "I am not a fan of this analysis."
"Why not?" Sebastian demanded.
"Because it makes me feel like I am crazy."
"You're not crazy," I snapped. "All those things you feel or think or see that you think aren't there? They are. Not only could you see Soledad's cursed necklace, but you knew there was something off about Macy and Abel."
"I thought I was just intimidated by Macy because she is pretty, and I thought Abel just made me mad."
"You have no self esteem," Sebastian blurted out. "We gotta fix that, bro."
"That's why you were so certain the first time we were in the Labyrinth," Jason gasped. "You could see where to go."
"I sucked at it."
"Because you lacked confidence," I pointed out. "When you really felt like you were right, you did it, and it worked."
Suki looked at everyone. "Well. I suppose that is that."
"Hang on," Octavian said. "So, how are we doing this? Are..." He scoffed like this was hysterical. "Are we just sending the three of them back into the Labyrinth for the Cup of Youth?"
"Why not?" Jason asked. "We understand the dangers, the navigation, the threats. With Suki's sight, it's certain. We survived the first time with no clue what we were doing. Now, with a game plan and a prophecy, we can win."
