Dear Diary,

Sebastian was the first to react. His spear sprung out, and he threw it right at the Cyclops. The monster swiped it away, shattering one of the mirrors and giving us a path to escape to. I shouted at my friends, ordering them to go, and drew my sword just as the Cyclops slashed down with a crooked, chipped blade.

I caught it against mine, sparks landing on my skin and stinging me. The Cyclops snickered, like the fact that it was three times my size was going to go in his favor. Instead, I redirected my sword, slashing part of his thigh, and I jumped to the side and crouched to avoid his own blade.

"Reyna!" Suki shouted. "Reyna, we found the exit!"

"I'll be there in a second!" I shouted. "Go without me!"

I realized I was backed into a corner, and had to do something I didn't really want to. I dove between the Cyclops's legs, making sure to hold my breath on the way, and slid down the hallway. But I had momentarily forgotten the concept, and slammed into another mirror. It didn't break, but my nose nearly did, and I groaned as my vision teared up.

"Jason, get back!" Sebastian shouted. I heard slashing, and turned around to see my own enemy missing. I gasped, realizing he'd traveled somewhere else in the maze, on his way to torment my other friends.

"Reyna!" I could hear Suki running around. "Reyna, where did you go?"

"I'm- I'm here!" I ran down a hallway, but hit another mirror. I spun around, seeing nothing but mirrors in every direction, repeatedly showing my own alarmed face. "Where di-"

In one of the mirrors, I saw Suki running straight toward me, limping and winced on her broken ankle. I ran to her, ready to catch her, but she went right past me and I slammed into a third mirror. I stood, spinning around, and realized I could see Suki running in six directions at once.

My chest began to squeeze and the mirror tormented me. I spun, meeting my own face, meeting my back, meeting my side. Only meeting me. I was the only person I could see. Momentarily, I thought I could see flashes of my friends, but they were just flashes. Once or twice, I saw that wretched Cyclops stomping throughout the maze, laughing and calling our names in his true, grueling voice.

"Reyna!" Sebastian appeared behind me. He grabbed my shoulders and spun me around so quickly, I nearly stabbed him. His eyes were manic, like he was having as much trouble with this as me. "Where is it? Did you kill it?"

"No!" I said angrily, shaking my head. "It disappeared after I hit one of these fucking mirrors!"

Sebastian turned around three whole times, looking desperately. "We need to hurry. Suki can barely move."

"I saw her running," I said. "She's moving." I stared at Sebastian. "What the hell happened?"

"There's more than one!" He yelled at me. "Don't blame me for it! It nearly got her!"

I frowned, not having said a single thing to him. "I didn't blame you for anything," I snapped.

He looked away, his eyebrows knit. "Whatever. We need to stick together before we get split up again-"
