Dear Diary,
I was trying desperately to pull myself out of my iron chains. I'd done it once, and I knew I could do it again. It was hurting my wrists horribly just like the first time. My skin was being rubbed raw from the metal, all festering and red and sensitive, just on the brink of being broken open and bleeding everywhere.
Unlike the first time, I didn't have to listen to pirates clopping above decks, blabbering about rum and gold. Instead, I had to hear Tupastian rapping nonstop.
"TUPAC BACK!" He danced in a weird way. "TUPAC BACK! THERE'S ALL THESE BITCHES SCREAMING THAT TUPAC BACK!"
I groaned loudly and slammed my hands on my lap, making my chains clink all along the floor. "That's not even a Tupac song, Sebastian!"
"That ain't my name!" Sebastian kept dancing. "I bet you got it twisted, you don't know who to trust~"
"You guys aren't doing as much talking as I'd hoped," Juventas said, bouncing baby Jason on her knee. He looked miserable to be a baby with his completely sound thirteen-year-old mind, but I don't think he was entirely against being bounced like that. "We were supposed to connect with our inner children."
"I totally am!" said Sebastian. "I'm having a great time!"
"I meant the emotional aspect of things," Juventas said sadly. "Reyna, do you remember what got you in those chains?" Her eyes were pouty. "We should probably talk about it."
I clenched my jaw and glared at her. "I said no."
"It's not good to keep these things inside," Juventas said, wiping drool from Jason's chin. His whole face turned red when she did that. "If you don't talk about it, I'll make you."
I went back to trying to get out of my chains. "I said no."
She sighed and turned to Sebastian. "Well? What about you? Should we talk about your childhood?"
"My childhood was great."
"Even your father?"
For the first time, Sebastian stopped dancing. His face fell and he blinked. "W-what?" Juventas merely laid her head on Jason's, cuddling him lovingly as she bored into Sebastian's eyes. "What about my dad?"
"He caused you a great pain," Juventas said. I noticed her eyes gleaming yellow, and I had a feeling she was looking at a lot more than what was in that room. "He hurt you with his words, didn't he?" She hummed and whispered, "Bastien."
Sebastian's face turned angry. "Don't call me Bastien!" He picked up a hairbrush and threw it at her, but it missed. Juventas didn't even flinch. "Never call me that!"
"And you?" Juventas turned to me. I refused to look at her, and went back to trying to slip out of my chains. "Oh, Blackbeard? An interesting story."
I snapped my head up. "Shut up!" I rose to my feet, which hurt from the splinters I shouldn't have even had anymore. "Get out of our heads! I don't care if you're a goddess or not!"
To my surprise, she just grinned. "Let it out, Reyna." She nodded at Sebastian. "You, too. Release is a good."
"What release?!" Sebastian demanded. "I've been over my dad for years! He's dead and there's nothing we can do about it. Why are you bringing up old wounds?"
