Dear Diary,

"You look exhausted," Suki said as I wheeled her out of the building. The ramp was still blocked off, but Sebastian quickly got to work on clearing everything now that there was enough time to. "I think you really need to lay down Reyna."

"I... can't," I told her. Sebastian cleared a wide enough path, so I quickly steered Suki to it. "It's like I've been awake so long, I forgot how to sleep."

I couldn't even remember the last time I slept. I hadn't slept in Juventas' lair. Not once since escaping. We fought a war, rebuilt a city, cleared the rubble, and had a senate meeting all in that time. It was around two by the time my duties were completed. Enough of the wounded had been cared for, enough of the city was accessible, enough plans had been made that I finally felt like I didn't have to do it all.

"We can go to my house," Suki suggested. "Since the barracks are really far away. You should sleep in my bed to get some rest."

"I can't," I said quietly. "I have to head to the barracks to-"

"Nah, she's right," Sebastian interjected, walking alongside me. "If you keep going, you'll start having hallucinations and shit. You're already walking uneven."

"What?" I looked down, and realized I had drifted a couple inches to the left. "Oh..."

"I'll put you to sleep," Suki offered. We turned down the neighborhood, and I could see her house on the corner. "You won't even have to feel it."

We got to her house, and I wondered how to navigate the three front steps. But Sebastian took care of it by simply lifting Suki and carrying her to the door. She looked really embarrassed, so I just focused on moving the wheelchair up the steps as she was brought into the living room and placed on the couch.

Quickly, she covered her lap with a blanket. I know she doesn't like showing her skin, really. But I guess she was forced to wear a skirt because it was easier to get on. "You really should sleep, Reyna." She grabbed a nearby magazine. "It's not good for your health."

I felt guilty. Missing a leg, yet she was worried about my sleep. Missing a leg, yet apologizing for what she said to me in the middle of a war. "Okay."

"Want me to-"

"No," I promised. Sebastian sat next to Suki on the couch and grabbed the TV remote. "No, the second I lay down, I think it'll hit me."

She nodded and opened her magazine, not looking at me even once. "Call if you need anything."

"Suki will hop right to it!" Sebastian snickered and slapped her amputated thigh. She just stared at him. "Tough crowd."

I was right. I barely made it up the stairs before my legs felt like they were giving out. I stumbled into their room, not even closing the door all the way, and fell onto Suki's bunk before promptly passing out.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get away from my subconscious. Even in my dreams, my body was crippled with exhaustion. I was at a playground of some sort, and saw several people loitering around. Weirdly enough, it was the highest concentration of Asians I'd ever seen in one place. I looked around, and saw strange writing on store signs; Japanese letters, I realized.
